1. I used USPS Priority Mail with Signature Confirmation. It cost an extra $2.45 for signature option, so why not? :)

2. I wrote a personal check and made it payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security (not USDHS, not DHS, etc.) Spell it out like they instructed us in the instructions sheet

3. Not sure if you meant to say an USPS Online Account or USCIS Online Account, but I assume you meant the USCIS one. I did create an USCIS account so hopefully once I get the NOA, I can start tracking my petition.

1. Will someone from a P.O. Box address sign it? I'm wondering.

2. Thanks, using money order is fine too, right?

3. Yeah I'm referring to USCIS account online(sorry for the confusion) Did you sign up for the myUSCIS account? Should I need to create one before sending my application or it doesn't matter even if I create myUSCIS account after sending my I-751?

4. I have another question. Did you use acco fastener when you send your documents to USCIS? (Which includes your evidences and the I-751 form)

1. Good question. I am now wondering if I had spent the extra $$$ for nothing. lol

2. Money order is fine as long as you make it payable to .....

3. It doesn't matter if you create one now or later. You can't track its progress until you have the case # anyway.

4. I used the 2-inch ACCO fasteners (responded to your earlier post with links) but did not attach the I-751 form to the stack.

It doesn't really matter.  You can't do anything with the account until you have the NOA1 back with the receipt number.  Don't delay sending the packet just to create the account.

Great! Thanks for your answer been wondering about this since I don't have myUSCIS account and don't know how it works.

I just also would like to ask you if you use acco fastener when you send your application. You see I just called USCIS and the lady who I spoke with said not to use fasteners on punch a hole on top of the documents since it may not read the documents when the USCIS officer run it through a machine?? And the officer might return the application. So this worries me since I have also read in the instructions in the uscis.gov website that they advise to use acco fastener and punch two holes on top of the material for thick or bulky applications. That's where it really confuses me. That's two completely opposite statements.

Lol! Good thing you're done with it!

So you punch two holes on top of all your douments(evidences, etc) aside from the I-751 (and of course the check/money order too)?

Did you include a cover letter?

Yes, 2 holes on top of all, except the I-751 and check/mo. I also included a cover letter and a table of contents listing what type of evidence is included in each tab divider.

I am wondering why the lady at USCIS told you that their machine might not read the documents when they scan them. I have a desktop scanner at home and it scans the hole-punched paper fine (I tried it). Unless they have a picky, multi-million dollar document scanning machine that we do not know about. lol

Yes I used the acco fasteners and the dividers with the tabs at the bottom, like was shown in one of the posts on this thread.  I also followed the guidelines on the USCIS website below.

https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

It says you can use Acco fasteners and tabs as long as they are at the bottom, not the side.

Based on our experiences calling the USCIS on the first round to get the green card, I wouldn't trust calling them as far as I could throw them.  They give a lot of inaccurate information (what we learned the hard way).

Mar 2014 - Married

5/7/14?? - Attorney mailed paperwork

3/9/15 - Called NVC and they have checklisted us for an "incorrect" decree absolute from the UK, even though it is the legal official document. Have requested a supervisor review.

4/28/15 - Called and NVC said supervisor had reviewed and now claimed that the decree absolute was not included. After disagreeing with the less than helpful lady on the phone, and her not being able to get the review time right. (She kept changing her story between 42 days and 30 days).

4/30/15 - Sent the same copy of the decree absolute to the NVC from the UK, highlighting the "decree absolute" wording with a letter stating that this is the only document provided by the UK government.

That's exactly how I understand with the instructions in uscis.gov website. You are right calling USCIS sometimes just gives you more confusions aside from getting more stress with the situation(filing this is stressful making sure everything is right, lol).

By the way did you include in the fastener your I-751 form? Or you just separate it too like the other response on this thread?

Ok, thank you! How did you attach your I-751 form in your other evidences since you didn't include it in the fastener?

Yeah you are right, it just gives a lot of confusion since what she said is completely different from what they posted on their website. They should have updated the instructions in their website if that's the case but as I see it, that's the instructions posted. 🙄
