many local offices no longer accept walk-in,  one has to make infopass appointment

yeah, moving back to sept 10, 2016,  it would be difficult to explain why those cases in jan, march, april approved

 

this processing time is so unreliable

LOL i hope its a system glitch since it was 12 to 15 months when i checked this morning.

Met an immigration officer on my flight last night she said don't rely on the website. The VSC processing time is about 14-18 months

11 months still wait, I don't understand why the processing system is more and more slow down.

I do not have an approval, but i received a letter this past Saturday that says i do not need

to go to an ASC for the Biometrics for they will use my biometrics  and security checks from the past. 

It sounds a bit weird for me bc i did my biometrics back in June2017 for the i-751 form.

 

Did anyone else get a letter like this?

Would have been free of charges I would not complain, but waiting more than one year after paying $680 is outrageous.

Hi everyone,

 

I am asking for help to see if I should  go ahead to apply for N400 or just wait?

 

I am a 2017 May filer and still waiting for the 10 year green card. I will be eligible to apply for N-400 next month.

However, I have two travel plans:

1) I am going to Japan in September 2018 while my current passport need to start to apply for visas to Japan starting in June;

2) I am going to India  in Jan 2019 and I will also need to apply for visas to India starting in Nov 2018.

 

Considering bio-metrics/interviews/test/oath ceremony etc after applying for N400 might happen between these travel dates,

I really appreciate advice! Thank you ahead!

I called USCIS earlier today, just to see if there were any updates. The lady told me that the current processing time for the I-751 filed to CSC is (I believe) 17-19 months!!!!

Hi, I am in a similar position.  I am a May 2017 filer also and am still waiting.  I travel to the UK at the end of this month, then in July and then in August.  My extension expires in August.  Although we can get the infopass with the stamp, I am personally going to wait for my N400 until I receive my 10 year GC.  I just want that in my hand, rather than running the risk them pulling my file and placing it with the N400 application and then having to wait for that process.  That just makes more sense for my situation.
