We also filed in May 2017, however, on Feb 28th, USCIS just informed us the case was transferred to local office. We live in Illinois, I believe tons of other applicants also received the same notifications.  Now except the notification that our local office received our case, we didn't get any update. I know CSC is kinda behind VSC, but not sure how far behind.

From the USCIS online tracking system, it did say if we haven't received any notice before March 28th, we should send them a case inquiry. Not sure if anyone else has the same situation with us.

I filed in May 2017 with CSC as well, and my case status has not changed since then.

Case Was Received

On May 9, 2017, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number WACXXXXXXXXXX, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by June 8, 2017, please call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

May 11, 2017

We received your case and waived the filing fee

Read the notice we mailed you for more information about how we will process your case

We will begin processing your case and will review it to make sure you have submitted all of the required information and documents. We will let you know if we need anything else from you.

If you do not receive your notice by June 10, 2017, send us a case inquiry and select that you did not receive your notice by mail.

If your mailing address changes, update your address with us.

The funny thing is that the new case status link tells me that the filling fee was waived, although I never received the money back...go figure. So many conflicting messages.

congrats!!!!

may I ask do you also check your case status online? Does it also say there you got approved? Or they just mailed you the approval notice and the status didn't update?

oh haha sorry my forum didn't update just saw this!

By the way the USCIS website remains the same. The date is February 27, 2018 and not Feb 28, 2018 as what I have said earlier.

It’s something  like on February 27, 2018 we received your Form I-751, receipt number xxxxxxxx at your local office.

Good day everyone! Thank God I finally received my Approval Notice (I-797 Notice of Action) in the mail today! I am a May 2017 filer and was not able to put my name in your May 2017 file but I have been following this thread. If anyone can put me on your file if that will help for all of you guys still waiting or I will gladly answer any questions you may have!

I hope the rest will be able to hear a favorable response very soon too! God Bless everyone and have a Blessed Easter! 🐣

For reference:

Mailed: May 19, 2017

NOA Date: May 23, 2017

NOA Received in the Mail: May 30, 2017

Bio Date: I forgot the date don’t have the paper with me but I did an Early WALK IN

Approval Notice Date: March 26, 2018

Received in the Mail: March 30, 2018

VSC Filer

I'm a Military Spouse maybe that’s one of the reason why I got approved a little ahead of the May 2017 filers. (I’m not sure though of this 😄😄) But for sure the rest of May 2017 filers will be getting responses next week or the next couple of days/weeks to come! 😊😊😊

May 2017?   wow, congrats!

i dont think being military spouse would has anything to with it, oh well, just my opinion

Yes I am! Thank you!😊

I would say maybe there is, because they have specific instructions for Military (spouse) filers to expedite the process. But you see the supposedly faster processing time is still a long wait and just almost the same with non-Military filers. Lol! Nevertheless I am still happy that the long wait is over and got approved. 😊

For sure the rest of the May 2017 filers will get something in the mail soon. Hoping more will get it next week. 😊

I disagree.  I think they probably do give some priority to military spouses, and I agree with that policy.

Thanks for the explanation...it now makes sense. The wait time for CSC is a living nightmare.

There is probably a separate forum here that discusses the process for applying for citizenship.  That thread will give you more answers than this thread.

And here is the official website for applying.

I just tried to view and it said I had to request access. You might need to check how you set up permissions for the spreadsheet.  :)
