Not yet. I'm not sure I want to add a year of stress to that already way too long process. Maybe after I get my 10 year GC.

We'll be getting ready to submit our N-400 in April. Thank goodness it'll be the last large chunk of money for this process. Between all the fees and all the waiting, it's a wonder our nerves are still intact!

Good luck! I found it much easier to compile the requirements for this. Agree with the money and waiting!

Hey fellow Brit!  I can apply in May.  I have mixed feelings about applying before my 10 yr GC.  Some places it says do not apply until approved for conditions to be removed, others say that is speeds up the process or you just get the interview for the naturalization and never see the GC.  So I just do not know what to do.  Do know anyone that has gone through the process of applying before the GC approval?

Ours is May too. However, I started the process online. It only holds for 30 days then gets deleted. So before that time, just update with something, then it resets the clock

From what I understand, the two applications will have their own timeline and will be processed independently until the interview step. In my case, and I only speak for myself, I just wanted to be done and over with filling out forms and paying $, lol who knows when they would increase the fees again. I've also kept a LOT of papers aka "evidence" that otherwise, I wouldn't have kept like old bills, old leases, etc. It would be easier for me to gather all the required documents now for the application, rather than later when I have to pull through more papers that will accumulate over the years.  I just want to forget about the whole process and let USCIS do their thing, whereas others may prefer to enjoy a break for some time.

yes I have completed the form, and I just go in and update it to keep it active.

Hi Kitti, do you mind if I ask you what documents are you submitting with your application? I haven't started the application yet but I am planning to do it soon on line too. Do you know if we can upload the supporting documents? Or we still need to mail them?. I highly appreciate your input .

It looks like those who check their case on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ and have a DOB or name update have been receiving an approval very soon afterwards. Keep an eye out if you have a status that says either of these!

You can upload them online. Each person is different as far as what docs they need. They will tell you when you complete the form.  There is the minimum docs, and then you can upload more or bring them to the interview.
