The USCIS processing page was updated Oct 31, 17 saying they are processing Nov 16.  But if you go to VJ timelines a lot of Jan 17 filers got approved in Dec 17.

Recheck. Search for Lifting of Condition (I-751) Timelines in VJ not just USCIS in general. They are working on Aug & Sep 2016 now.

Not at the VSC.  The timeline is showing Jan 17 filers getting approved in Dec 17.

That's pretty exciting! I hope the pace will remain the same (or increase). I was looking at old timelines. In 2012, the processing time of i-751 was 4 months...

I know, I did a little happy dance when I saw that!  It's crazy it takes so long now!

I'm asking a stupid question here if you don't mind: How do you know your paperwork was being looked at by CSC or VSC? Where did you guys see that information? I have no idea which timeline I should look at for my case. I reside in Houston, Texas and filed mine on May 20th, 2017.

May 2017: ROC package sent

6/3/17: Check cashed by USCIS

6/9/17: Biometrics Notice sent

6/28/17: Biometrics Appointment completed

***NEVER RECEIVED THE NOA1 - Extension letter for another year (probably got lost in the mail or USCIS  never sent it by mistake?!)

2/13/18 at 11:10AM: Infopass appointment schedule to have 1-year stamp on birth country passport

Reminder: to file for N-400 form starting from 5/15/18 and onward as 90 days before 3-year anniversary

FYI: Timeline for CSC just got updated 1/29/18: they're looking at cases on 9/7/16 right now. *sigh* that's 6 months away from when we filed :(......

Where did you mail your packet? That's where your file is looked at.

Edit: Judging by the USCIS list: https://www.uscis.gov/i-751 under "Where to File" you probably mailed yours to California. So CSC is where your case is.

Has anyone here contacted USCIS recently? I think I'm going to, just to see if I can get an actual estimate from them. It probably won't mean much, but it's better than having no feedback for almost a year.

Just wondering if you guys can help me out. I really can't find a straight answer to my situation. Here's a bit of a background of my case:

I arrived here in the states last March 2017 through CR-1 visa. I discovered that they made an error in my name thus I sent I-90 with the erroneous green card on May 2017. I had my biometrics done on June 1, 2017. My temporary I-1551 stamp on my passport is about to expire (March 2018). It's been 9 months of waiting already. Our nearest USCIS office is 2 hours drive. I will be 8 months pregnant on March and I don't want to drive all the way there (plus my husband is in the military and can't afford to take extra offs for now).  This is really frustrating knowing that they messed up my information and now I have to deal with it. :(

Has anyone been on  the same boat? I understand this is a different case from yours but just wondering if anyone can give me an advice since we are all waiting for our green card and filed it on the same month and year. Should I just get an infopass so I have at least proof of my immigration status?

Dont stress out yourself. As long as you have pending application with USCIS then you're in good status, the only thing that you don't have is the proof since your i-551 stamp will expire next month.

Beside you have reason not to get another stamp because of your pregnancy so dont be so worried.

Thank you for the advice. Would I still be able to get an infopass even if my temporary i-1551 is already expired? I'll probably deal with that after I give birth then. Just not comfortable not having any proof of immigration with me on hand.
