Hi , I filed my DOC on my 2017  to the csc,  when shoud we expect some update on our case ?

If you filed in May 2017 I would expect an update or approval in May 2018 +/- 1 month

12 months has been the standard wait time for a while but not long to go now

Just wanted to thank you for this very helpful piece of information. My husband and I were trying to look up an update using the Receipt Number on the NOA and scratching our heads at what we were doing wrong until a lightbulb appeared over my head, I whipped on a cape, pointed in the air, and said "To visajourney!!"

I applied in Jan 17. Biometrics in June. Still got the same Validation Error message when I check my case. My case went to VSC. My friend applied on nov 2016 and still waiting for news. I don’t really know what to do anymore

May filers, just a quick question. My extension letter will expired in July, 2018. I don't have any plan travel out of U.S.. So, do I need to ask for stamp on my extension letter when i come expired? is it mandatory to have stamp on the letter?

I still worry so much that DHS will send me a RFE. Because my evidences may be not enough

which case ID you're using to check your case online?

No need if you dont have plans to travel. But people usually get i-551 stamp on their passport as proof of status.

I used the I797 Notice of action. I’ve heard that the message Validation Error means that your process is still in hold and the USCIS didn’t touch it yet

Wrong, the case ID that you need to use for online would be the one on your biometrics appointment which is associated to CRI89.

If you get an error message you're using the wrong number. Try the number on the biometric letter.

The other code only says my case was received. Its being a year now.

You have to wait hun, I know its sucks but all of us are dealing it. You should get response this month or next month since you're from VSC and since CSC takes 15 months to get the approval.
