Hello all. Today just received the biometrics letter for June 28th at Charlotte ASC office. Pleased with how things are progressing. Hoping the best for everyone. Also already updated the May 2017 filers spreadsheet.

@wanderer84 Yeah, that was pretty fast, mine was 28 days from filing and I'm the who got the biometrics letter very late. LOL!

Hello again everyone,

 

We tried our luck today for a walk-in at our local ASC for biometrics processing and we were successful.  My wife + daughter had their appointment for next Monday 6/26 but we are flying out on vacation this Thursday 6/22 and all we had to provide was our flight itinerary for verification to the officer.

On Saturday I went to the DMV with my husband to renew my drivers license for 1 year using my NOA extension letter. No issues at all 
When we got home my biometrics appointment letter was in the mailbox! It's set for next week June 27th

Just had today my Biometric appointment, it was nice and smooth, very fast, now lest the waiting begin.

We had our Biometrics on 6/19. Everything went smoothly. We then had an Infopass to sort out this whole NOA1 issue. The officer said he cannot do a service request until the one I sent online is finished. My packet was received 5/13, check cashed on the 19th and my case status says they mailed receipt on 5/15, but when he checked his system it said they sent it dated 5/26. So who the heck knows :/

@Shannon28 We received a duplicated copy of NOA1 this past week. The Tier-2 officer opened a SR for a duplicated copy and the request was completed on 6/14, mailed on 6/19, and we got it on 6/23.

I had my biometrics appointment today at USCIS Jacksonville. I arrived an hour early and they kindly agreed to do my appointment right when I arrived. Great experience! No waiting! Very straight forward!

 

Does anyone know if I'm likely to get an RFE after a biometrics appointment? That might seem like an odd question but what I mean is that it seems in most cases an RFE tends to come before a biometrics appointment is made if any is required and then you just wait and see if an interview is required after your biometrics is complete?

@LDNGA it's case to case basis, if the IO not satisfied with all the evidences that you sent initially then you will get an RFE and asks you to provide more evidences. If they are not yet satisfied with your evidences that you sent thru RFE then you will get an interview notice, but again it's case to case basis, because each application is unique, not all application will get RFE and interview notice. RFE and interview notice comes after the biometrics appointment.

Hi everybody!

 

It took me a while to get back on Visa Journey, but I'm also a May 2017 filer! 

 

I did my biometrics in Atlanta on June 26, and now I'm just waiting to hear back. VSC is a lot behind on processing so I'm not even checking my case status at this point and expect that nothing will happen for at least 6 months.
