Which number are u gonna call? I called this toll free number 1-800-375-5283 (NCSC) but its only automated instructions.. i want to personally talk to a customer service rep or atleast leave a phone number so somebody can call me back... there is still no biometrics letter for me yet and this is quite alarming... receipt date for the NOA is May 12th and i received the letter on May 22nd... i am currently going to CNA classes and i just need to find out when is my biometrics schedule so i can apply for a leave that day from school in advance... this is very fraustrating especially to most of us that plan our schedule ahead of time 😞😞😞

Sorry, am a little bit late with the reply but I see others already took care of your question! :-)

I´ve got through the automated instructions and instead of leaving me in the waiting line (like back in the days of our I-130 times) I could choose a call back option which I did. Within 5 minutes (although automated voice said 15 min) I´ve got a call back from an officer who couldn´t answer my question but forwarded me to a Tier2 officer. Both were very nice and willing to help. :-)

Hey I just noticed you are filer in Orlando, FL as I am, I would like to know if you had to escalate your Biometric appointment with USCIS, I haven't heard from them and its been longer than the average I have seen for other cases, did they tell you any reason why orlando is taking so long? Did you get a regular notice or did you call? Thank you so much for your help :)

Hi there,

I noticed as well that Orlando is pretty slow with appointments, I think they might be just busy.

Anyways, I´ve called USCIS because I was afraid that the letter might got lost (we´ve had some problems in your community before) and I am a Better-Safe-Than-Sorry-Person ;-)

I´ve got a call back from a TIER2 officer. She told me when the appt. was and when letter was mailed. She told me that - if the letter won´t arrive 4-5 days prior to the appt. I should call again and they will fax it to me so I will have the instructions. Fortunately the next day the letter finally came.

So, if you want to be sure and it is around 30 days after your NOA I would call and ask if they have any further information.

Does anyone know if you can request the extension stamp for your passport (I think it is the I-551 stamp)  at the biometrics appointment?  Or do you have to make an extra appointment for that? I do not feel comfortable with the expired GC and the extension letter. Thank you!

I mean, maybe you can... but that's what the extension letter is for though, it serves to validate the expired GC. If you really feel like getting a stamp, I'd set up an InfoPass appointment

There is also the possibility that they could take away your greencard when they stamp your passport. So be aware of that. Personally I would prefer the expired greencard and the NOA

We sent our papers on May 1st, received at CSC on May 3rd.

Check was cashed on May 10th.

NOA1 was received on May 12th.

Biometrics appointment was June 1st at 1PM, went all smooth and super quick.

Considering how fast all this was, I'm keeping my hopes up that it will be a quicker process than expected? Too much to ask? :D

Good luck to everyone out there!!!

My avatar image was a commissioned one a friend made for me - please don't use. <3
