Just got my biometrics today in LA.

zero minute wait time! VS 1 hour last time I went (2 years ago for my conditional green card)

I was a little nervous bc I had a small cut on the tip of my thumb but it was not an issue apparently.

does anyone know if our case status is supposed to change to reflect that our biometrics were received or something?

or are we supposed to wait for a year+ patiently without any update?

Thanks guys!

No biometrics here yet.

I´ve called USCIS today and got a very fast call back from Tier2 officer. Biometrics letter was sent May 26th, didn´t arrived yet but I got my appointment date over the phone. The very nice officer suggested to call them back 4 days prior to appt. so they can fax me the letter in case it hasn´t arrived by then. :-)

Which number are u gonna call? I called this toll free number 1-800-375-5283 (NCSC) but its only automated instructions.. i want to personally talk to a customer service rep or atleast leave a phone number so somebody can call me back... there is still no biometrics letter for me yet and this is quite alarming... receipt date for the NOA is May 12th and i received the letter on May 22nd... i am currently going to CNA classes and i just need to find out when is my biometrics schedule so i can apply for a leave that day from school in advance... this is very fraustrating especially to most of us that plan our schedule ahead of time 😞😞😞

There is a way to talk to an actual rep through that number. I've called the NCSC many times regarding another case of mine, and after a lot of buttons pressed I was able to reach a customer rep. I'll call them up again and come back to tell you which options to choose in order to talk to them.

Hi all!

Hubby and I have been pretty inactive in the site,  but are looking to see how things are working out for everyone.

We mailed our petition May 22, arrived May 24 two days before the due date- have a few irons in the fire lol

Received NOA1 on May 30, biometrics  letter received June 6, for my husband's appointment is June 16th.

My question is, how will we know if we are having an interview? Does that come by separate letter?

For the AOS we had an interview that was pretty traumatic. They called me in first, and had me scared spitless for the first hour and a half. Then when they called my husband in, was another hour. The interviewer told us specifically he is put on the cases for suspected immigration fraud. Part of the reason was the age difference with me and my husband. After he finished he said it was the easiest interview for immigration fraud he had ever done (because it wasn't fraud). Funny comment in one sense but not nice to do to people since I was shaking and crying by the end of it. Needless to say, I would love to avoid another interview!

As far as I know, all updates are given by letter and I believe you can also check all news on your case on the USCIS website.

And I've got my fingers crossed. Let's hope none of us May filers get an interview!

@Jilliane if you dont have different or not resided to different address no need to fill out that part just leave it blank.

Hi. We moved after the AOS. Do I still have to write the present address on part 11 including our previous address?

Also, who should we write down on Part 7 and Part 8?

Part 7 is asking for petitioner while Part 8 is spouse.

Thanks!
