Now, as I seem to recall from those who have posted before . . . 10 year Green Card usually comes 7-10 days after 'new card being produced' notification received.

I had my N-400 and I-751 combo interview in Chicago a few days ago. My N-400 status changed to Waiting for Oath Ceremony to be scheduled. However, my I-751 status still shows as Case Received by your local office. Three questions for the group here

1) Is the above situation normal? I.e., only N400 status changes even though the office says he approved the I751

2) will I get a 10 yr GC in the mail?

3) how long does it typically take for USCIS to schedule the oath ceremony?

Answers

1. Yes. Normal.

2. Yes. You will. You will have to return it at oath. So take selfies.

3. 1 month

Hi everyone! I spoke to Tier 2 officer today, she was very nice and gave me a better idea of the timeline. If your case is at CSC, the average wait time is up to 21-22 months. So we still have a few months to wait before they can file a service request. If your 18 months extension letter expired, they won't be sending you a new one and you need to get a new I-551 stamp. You can request an infopass appointment to get a new stamp 30 days before its expiration days. Hope it helps

Thanks for the information!  This is such a frustrating wait!  We're headed to Mexico in January, so can use the 18-month letter, but for Spring Break, we're also going out of the country, and if this isn't remedied by then, he and my stepson will need a frigging stamp!  so annoying.  :(

Just got an update that they are currently reviewing my case!! Filing date May 20th 2017

"During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators"

Fingers crossed!

I just received this email:

On December 20, 2018, your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, Receipt Number -------------------------------, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by January 19, 2019, please go towww.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I am not sure what is happening or where is being transferred to, I submitted my N-400 last may/18 and I am in line for the interview, I am hoping is being transferred to My Local Office (Orlando) so I get a combo interview. After 19 months waiting at least I am seeing a movement, Finally!

I know. I am so hopping to get my N-400 interview scheduled, an April 2018 N-400 filler in Orlando (My local office) with a pending I-751 just recently had his N-400 interview and it seems everywhere they are doing combo interviews, including Orlando, his notice had no information about combo interview or instructions about the I-751 whatsoever in his notice, when he arrived for the interview the officer asked for his wife to be able to proceed and he didn't end up going with her, so she told him they would have to reschedule his appointment, so he couldn't even do his N-400 part just because he didn't go with his wife and there was no annotation in the notice about it, now he has to wait who knows how long to get a new date for his interview and bring his wife with him for it. So it seems combo interviews are not even being notified to applicants, they are just assuming you will bring your spouse with you if you  have an I-751 pending.

Oh wow, that's good to know! I will bring my husband with me for sure!! Better safe than sorry. I am just wondering how much more do we need to wait.
