I just got my interview for my ROC today.. yup interview. I didn't file for N400 yet. And I probably will take this time to relax and think about that later. :)

 

I do have a separate thread where I will give info how it all went.. but to summarize it, the officer (who was the nicest officer of all the officers I've ever encountered in all the immigration/visa process I've ever been in) told us we are actually good and should wait for the letter or card (I was shocked it was that super easy, was expecting to be grilled to be honest) in 4 to 6 weeks.

Congratulations! That was fast! The green card right after the approval letter. Nice!

 

So, I also wanted to give a proper update on my end. I had a N-400 and i751 combo interview a week ago. Both of my cases were approved and my status changed to "placed in line for my oath ceremony". So I am really happy that I am almost done and hopefully I will become a citizen before xmas. Thank you all for your support and sharing your experiences all this time!

I had my oath ceremony today and I am now officially a citizen of the United States! 

 

Looking back , this was the easiest thing I have done, completely painless and stress free (I stressed anyway cuz I like stress lol) 

 

to all of you wondering if you should file for the N400 - I recommend doing that as soon as you are eligible. USCIS is extremely professional and accommodating.. everything is extremely easy and simple. The wait and all the noise from different cases and weird updates makes it feel daunting and scary. IT’S NOT.

 

after my oath ceremony I registered to vote right there, and got my sticker! I will go ahead and apply for my passport next week. 

 

I wish you all the very best, and thank you for making the wait fun(lol) and thank you for being part of the journey  , I really appreciate it.

No news for us at all.  Filed beginning of May 2017 for ROC, 18 month extension letter is almost expired.  N-400 sitting there gathering dust.  I just keep telling myself, "now is not the time to weaken!"  😂

August 25, 2017 BIO completed. 32 days since ROC received in VSC.

August 11, 2018  18 month 'Courtesy Copy' extension letter received.  Critical number  297

October 20, 2018 18 month 'Official' extension letter received.  Critical number 297

December 4, 2018  USCIS Account shows: We approved your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, 

December 4, 2018, ordered your new card for Receipt # EAC17297003XX, and will mail to the address you gave.

491 days from NOA issued by VSC until Petition approved.

December 7, 2018 USCIS sent notice:  Card mailed.

December 12, 2018 Ten year Green Card received from Lees Summit, MO
