Same here, San Fernando office!! The worst thing for me is having to go to DMV every 3 months to get a driving permit.

Have you tried calling USCIS?

We haven't tried calling, based on the reports all over VJ that they're clueless on the "help" line.  I'll ask my husband, but he's NEVER had to renew at the DMV due to immigrant status!  Let me find out what his license says and get back to you.  That is NOT ok.  :(

my driving license expired the same day as my green card... They then gave me another license that was only valid for 1 year. Now they are just giving me paper permits.

I filed I751 late May 2017 (CSA) and applied for N400 in May 2018. Still no updates from either... I live in LA. When I call USCIS, they say that the case is within the normal processing times and I should wait for 21 months to pass for the filing day to inquire. Anyone else still waiting?

still waiting.

True, it does.  But I was responding to someone with the exact same office as us, but a vastly different experience with the DMV.

Congratulations! Almost a US citizen! Awesome! So how was you i751 part? Did they tell you that it was going to be a combo interview? What state are you from? My interview is in less than a couple weeks but I have no idea if it will be a combo interview or not. I haven't heard anything from them after my N400 interview letter. It will be at Milwaukee field office.

Don’t worry, everything will be ok :)

enjoy the wait.. and don’t stress. They already know everything about you.. just answer the simple questions, then the civics questions.. write and read English, and you’ll be done in 20 minutes.

congratulations to you in advance. Enjoy!

Hi i am a July 2018 filers , what they asked you for  i751 - like any question that you can share.

Very general questions like how long have you been staying in your current residence, and where do you work.. but other than that it would be according to how your life has been so far, they basically corroborate what you have given is accurate.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Very simple stuff.

try to get a second opinion, I am surprised the lawyer doesn't know that they combine the interviews. Maybe she meant something else?

Combined interview for I-751/N400 is not a sure thing. It depends on the service center discretion if they will combine the interview or not. Some service center do combine interview some were not.

I believe your lawyer are not aware that combine interview is doable, but your lawyer should answer you it may or it may not gonna happen. Try to do a research if your Service Center do combine interview.

i asked again to lawyer about combo interview, she said if they call me for combo interview then i will have to wait till 2020 sometime. because in seattle it takes n400 process 15-16.5 months and i applied as i mentioned before may 2018(n400). but when my lawyer spoke to uscis case worker today, they said my i751 application is waiting in line for interview. after nearly 18 months waiting still i have to go for i751 interview thats insane.
