Hi everyone,

I am a CSC filer,  and I checked my email today as I didn't  check it yesterday and I had 1 mail from USCIS and a priority mail. For my surprise it was the letter of approval and the Green Card !!! My status never changed, I just checked my status now and it is still saying: Case Was Received, which is really weird but anyway and I my GC which is what matters.

BTW I received my extension letter 3 days ago.

Good luck everyone !!!!

two quick follow up questions - 1) When did you apply for removal of conditions? 2) did you apply for citizenship (N400) prior to your I751 approval?

I received my 18 month extension letter yesterday (8/25/2018). The letter was dated 8/18 and was sent over from the CSC. I had applied for my 751 back in May 2017 (5/13/2017). My original 797 was dated 5/17/2017 with Receipt number WAC17229xxx. Last action was on 2/26/2018 (sent to local office for processing). I ended up submitting my N400 application online in May 2018 (5/13/2018). Still waiting for both my 751 and N400 to be processing. Not sure how much longer will i need to wait but there isn't anything I can do

Same here. All the cases around mine have been either approved or RFE. I truly think now that by applying to N-400 we are now in our local USCIS timeline. If you check forums from April or before, people that applied for N-400 are still waiting but some have received their citizenship already ( mostly March filers). So hopefully our local Service Centers will get to our cases soon.

How does one apply for n400? is it online only or paper form? What evidence is required?

Hi. You can do it online. It is the fastest and safest way to do it. They give you your receipt right away to track your case. You can also visualize your loaded papers or documentation.

Wife got the extension letter on Saturday. Doesn't really matter as we already got her passport stamped and her green card got a cut on the edge by the USCIS office here in Chicago. I am seeing cases that filed after us get approved, so it makes us wonder how are they looking at the cases. Guess we just wait.

No she didn't apply for the n-400. The Chicago office told us that is would take a lot longer if we did, so we just decided to wait for the 10 yr card first.

Did your case get transferred to NSC,VSC or TSC ? They usually don't process cases in the order that they are received. Hang in there, you should be approved within the next 2 weeks IMO !

My prediction is that come September , CSC should get to processing June 2017 filers

I did apply on May 20th 2017.

I didn't apply for citizenship, right now I am trying to gather information to apply to N400, I am just starting.

Hope I answered your question.  You can look at my timeline to see more information.

Yes my interview was waived for the K1 AOS...   I don't think there is any particular situation that would automatically flag someone for interview... I know a few people who had both K1 AOS and 10 yr GC without ever having an interview.....

Hi,

i havent been very active here but wanted to give an update on my case. I filed for the removal of my conditions early May 2017. My case hasn’t updated since biometrics. However in May 2018 I filed my N400 and I had my interview yesterday and I passed. They said they will close out my I-751 first in the next 2 days and then approve my citizenship. Now I just have to wait on my oath ceremony.

Good luck everyone! Also my suggestion is to go and file your N400 as this is mainly dependent on local USCIS office leadtime not the central offices. Which in my case was a lot quicker.

03/18/15: Send application

03/22/15: Application received

03/25/15: NOA 1 emails/texts

04/13/15: biomnetrics appointment letter

04/16/15: successful biometrics appointment

06/10/15: Received email - EAD picked up by post office!

06/11/15: Received EAD

06/18/15: Received interview notice in the mail for July 20th 2015 (was send on 06/12/15)

.....
