Just ignore the extension letter! It happened also to some other people like you. :) Everything is ok. :) Congrats

I believe they automatically sent out the extensions for any files still pending on some date in July. The extensions came from a different department/facility so there was a lot of overlap in the letters.

Hi guys, I want to say thank you to every single person on this website. My wife and I started this process 3years ago without any help but asking questions to the groups. We got the 10 years gc and we are gonna wait until we’re back from vacation to file for citizenship. Congrats to everyone who received there card this week and good luck to those waiting.

NVC Stage

12/16/2013 - NVC received the case

01/09/2014 - Got my case and invoice ID numbers

02/12/2015 - NVC started generating forms and invoices for our case (according to a nice NVC rep)

02/13/2015 - DS-261 available and filled out

02/13/2015 - Got an email with NVC Welcome letter and AOS Invoice

02/13/2015 - Paid AOS Fee

02/18/2015 - AOS shows PAID on ceac

02/22/2015 - AOS and civil documents sent off
02/23/2015 - DS-261 reviewed and IV Fee invoice received

02/24/2015 - IV Fee paid

02/25/2015 - Documents delivered to the NVC (scan date)

02/25/2015 - DS-260 submitted

03/30/2015 - Case Complete by phone

04/06/2015 - Case Complete email received

06/03/2015 - Got my interview scheduled for July, 6

Received 18 month extension letter today dated August 18th and we are WAC17242, our receipt date is May 30, 2017. We had already gotten the I-551 stamp so wasn't worried. Our case was transferred from California to our local office of Chicago on Feb 26th so hopefully they will get to ours soon :)

Just received my green card by mail today! 

 

I actually waited by my mail box for 5 hours to make sure it would go smoothly lol I can’t believe how paranoid and stupid these things make me.

 

i’m gonna apply to citizenship soon.

Received my extension letter today, but I already got my 6-month stamp a few weeks earlier, so it is approximately the same for me, didn’t make much difference.

Did you apply for your citizenship ? How do you know your case was trasnferred to the chicago local field office >?

I’m a California filers and my case got transfered to Vermont lol I don’t get this transfer actions 🤨 hopefully for the better y’all!

Married 06/12/2014
08/02/14: Concurrent filing of i130, i485 and i765.

07/20/15: Green card received!! 

 

Complete: ROC

Location: California Service Center

Package Mailed: 05/11/17

Received: 05/12/17

Money Order cashed: 05/12/17

NOA Received: 05/22/17

Biometrics Notice (dated): 5/20/17

Appt date: 06/05/17 (complete)

Approval notice: 9/11/2018 (received 9/15/2018)

Card received: 9/18/2018

 

😍02/05/19: Welcomed baby girl into our family 😍

 

Current: Naturalization

03/13/2019 - submitted online N400 and paid fee

03/26/2019 - received biometrics notice scheduled for 4/5

04/05/2019 - completed biometrics

10/12/2019 - received interview noticed scheduled for 11/16

11/16/2019 - interview

11/21/2019 - Oath Ceremony Scheduled

I received my 18 month extension letter yesterday (8/25/2018). The letter was dated 8/18 and was sent over from the CSC. I had applied for my 751 back in May 2017 (5/13/2017). My original 797 was dated 5/17/2017 with Receipt number WAC17229xxx. Last action was on 2/26/2018 (sent to local office for processing). I ended up submitting my N400 application online in May 2018 (5/13/2018). Still waiting for both my 751 and N400 to be processing. Not sure how much longer will i need to wait but there isn't anything I can do

No we have not applied for citizenship yet. If you go to https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do or USCIS app and enter your receipt # that is where it tells me it was transferred to my local office. I never received any notification though that this had happened.
