So we made an InfoPass appointment at the local USCIS office to get a stamp for my wife's GC. The appointment was for tomorrow 8/7.

Then, low and behold, I got an email from the USPS telling us to expect a piece of mail from USCIS today. I thought it was an interview appointment for our N-400 but, as luck would have it, it was not. LOL

The letter is an 18-month extension letter (I-797) that everyone has been talking about but seldomly seen or mailed to petitioners/applicants. So, now you have it folks; this is what an 18-month extension letter looks like :)

So, obviously, we canceled the InfoPass appointment for tomorrow and the wait continues...

Thanks for sharing this!

I really wonder if I'm going to receive one as well, even if I just got my passport stamped two weeks ago.

Hi, if you don't mind me asking, what did you send for RFE. I got notification to send RFE but my husband and I don't have any joint lease or bills except car insurance and his disabilities has me listed as spouse. Because he hasn't had a job in 8 years, we have been living with his parents and I've been trying to pay all the bills(his car, phone, insurance etc) I am really stressed out..

Congratulations! You must be the first May CSC approved. So you are saying that you case was never transfered to any other service center?
