oh wow, seems like the Chicago office only gives a 6 month extension by default. Did you try asking for a year or what the status of your case is ?

Also did you apply for your citizenship ? I see a lot of Feb/March and even a few april approvals for CSC. You should get approved within the next month or so, fingers crossed :)

I would have with a friendlier officer. LOL.

I don't really care whether its 6 months or 1 year as long as it's approved at the end of the day.

I'm not eligible for citizenship yet. I'm a GC holder's spouse 🙂 But I sure will as soon as the time comes to forget about this experience for good 🙂

Yes you are eligible to apply for your citizenship, as of May 2018 ( 90 days preceding the three year anniversary of getting your greencard)

Spouse is a GC holder as specified, not a U.S. Citizen...It is a different process.

What I find interesting is that there is no status change on USCIS DHS website nor any notifications received! I found out on the app. Could be timing though.

They will eventually update it, wait for a couple of days. That happened to me as well. I got the new card being produced from my uscis account but nothing on dhs.gov account.
