I-751 May 2017 Filers

I have 2 questions for the group and would appreciate very much if someone could help answer.

1. All of us have 2 Receipt #. One is shown on the I-797 Notice (NOA1) and the other is shown on the Biometrics Appointment Letter. For CSC filers, they both start with WAC. My question is: Which receipt # should I be using to track the status? When I enter the Receipt # shown on the I-797 Notice (NOA1), which is WAC17227XXXXX, the USCIS website shows that it is for form I-751 and says that they have received my case on 2/5/2018. I went onto another USCIS website and entered the same Receipt # and it says that case was received at my local office on 3/5/2018. I never received any letter in the mail about the transfer and just found this out this evening. The other Receipt # (from the Biometrics Appt Letter) shows that it is for form CRI-89 and no updates since May 2017.

2. I called the 800 number to get my case status and the automated system said that my case was transferred to another USCIS office, but did not tell me which office. How do I find out which office has my case OR do I have to make an InfoPass appointment with my local USCIS office to find out?

Thanks so much in advance!

You check the first receipt number on your initial notice for form I-751. Unless your online status shows your "case was transferred to another office", no need to make an appointment. Your local office would have your case file after it is transferred, otherwise they would have nothing to tell you that you did not already know. If you applied for N-400, then it would be a different process.

Understood. In future, be mindful to be clear in what you are asking so that there is no confusion regarding what you need to know.

CSC filer here -_- I received a notification yesterday that my case was transfered to another uscis office. My guess is that this notification has something to do with my recent N-400 application which i submitted a few days ago..

@aseela , it probably has been transferred over to the NBC as you filed for your N-400.

My wife passed her ROC interview July 17, same time as her N400 interview.  Oddly enough they let me stay in the room for both interviews.

On July 19th her I751 status changed to approved.  Interviewer said they won't produce a card since she's in line for oath ceremony, which makes sense.

Happy that's all over with!

For those keeping track, we filed N400 on March 31st, CSC ROC filer

Great , All the best......
