This coming one is going to last from 08/2018 to 02/2019 (depends on the green card expiration date or I-551 stamp date).

 

Good thing is no charge though because they were saying the 1st time using the green card to apply for driving licence(that was 2015) already paid the 5-year fee.

 

thats nice,  some states would not skip the chance to make extra money out of it

what is the class of your driver license?  if my memory services me well, class e in florida last for 8 years, one of the longest in the states

I have a Class E driver license from Florida, it was issued in 2015 and it expires on my Bday in 2024.

I wonder if anyone can give me so advice and suggestions! Appreciate it!

 

So I file my N400 on 07/09/2018 with I-751 pending,  and Biometrics is scheduled on 08/02/2018. 

I am leaving the country for 3 weeks for my family (planned last year) between 09/15/2018 and 10/06/2018.

 

Are there any ways that I can let USCIS officers know and can avoid schedule interviews during my travel beforehand?

Or have to wait for reschedule if it happened to be scheduled during the trip?

 

I understand some people might say cancel the trip and go to the interview but this trip is very important to me that I won't be able to cancel it.

 

Also anyone has used the "talk to officer" on the dhs account yet?

Some states have different rules for non citizens and would use the validity period of your legal status. That's why you got a 10-year DL, which was the validity period of your green card.

really doubt you will get interviewed just after 3 months you filed you n-400

 

oh well, for what is worth, you should be able to send them an email from your dhs account

For some reason when I went to get a new license I was given one that expires in 2025 even though my extension was only up until 08/18. Maybe she made a mistake. I’m not complaining though.

Yes, in this case, I would really want them not schedule interviews that soon. lol

Probably will try to send them an email after the biometrics to avoid the misunderstanding they think I need to reschedule fingerprints

i was going to suggest you to do walkin for biometrics, but you dont wanna your case moving too quick,  it would be better to just follow your schedule

My green card is valid for only 2 years and it’s expired now since my ROC I-751 is pending; so basically DMV issue a driver license for 9 years or so with a 2 years green card.

my friend who lives in California included the following and she will have her interview next month.

 

Copy of green card front and back

Copy of extension letter

Copy of fulfilled biometrics appointment

copy of passport with I-551 stamp.

Check Case Tracker App  with your number, there were a lot of Case Transfers on July 6. Unless you already know that.
