Just curious... Did anyone ever receive a I-797 notice with extension?

Actually the same question. My 1 year extension letter expires in the beginning of August. I was waiting for a new extension letter, but never received one... Should I get a stamp?

I waited and never received any letter. So went and got my passport stamped last week. My one year extension was going to expire end of July.

Hi, guys.

Just made it back from Infopass. My son and I got our passports stamped with I-551 . The stamp was granted for a year, till July 9, 2019.  The IO was really nice and friendly...especially when he learnt we are California filers ;):)

He also confirmed that all those msgs, about transferring your case to the local office mean nothing. Unless you received a hard copy/Notice of that transfer. He also told me I can go ahead and apply for N-400. but I think I will wait.

Our Office is St. Louis, MO. Everybody there were really nice and helpful. We also usually don't have any troubles with scheduling an appointment, so I wish our cases got transferred to MO, but oh, well...

I have a question. My extension letter expires next month so I’ll have toggle and get a stamp in my passport, However y passport also expires next month. Do I have to get a new passport to be able to get the stamp or is there any other way I can get the stamp?

So, we have had a nightmare with this.  USCIS did not put a street address on her package - WT?  So it got got to our distribution center but they would not deliver to my local post office and could only send it back to the sender.  So, we have had numerous calls to USCIS.  They finally updated the address.  Then they had to wait to receive it back.  They now have it back and have reissued it.  I am back to waiting to see if it actually gets to us this time.

The same happened to me when I initially applied for my GC. I couldn't work without it and had to take a 3-week leave while the card was going back and forth between USPS and USCIS until they finally delivered the card.

Hello Everyone,

This is my first time to post here, however, I have been following this great site for many months now. It gave me lots of patience and taught me a lot.

I want to share with you some good news, today I saw my status changed on the case tracker app to “New Card is Being Produced” for my I-751 application, I never get any emails or text messages even knowing I already signed up for email and text messages alerts.

I’m a May 2017 filer in VSC and my NOA date is May 30, 2017. My receipt number is EAC17242xxxxx.

I already field N-400 end of May 2018. But since I filed my I-751 last year I never heard any thing and I called them last month and spoke to tier 2 agent who actually confused me and told me that I will most likely be interviewed soon so I was getting worried that it will take much longer and was waiting for an interview notice but as I said I just saw my new card is being produced! No RFE and no interview!

thank you all so much and for those who are still waiting you will get your approvals soon, just hang in there and you will get it! Good luck to you all!

So many people waiting for their 10 year green card have applied for their N-400 and have bypassed the wait and gone straight to citizenship.  The benefit of you applying for your citizenship now is that your son will also become a citizen once you do, which means that neither of you would be tethered to a GC.  There really is no reason to wait.  IDK what the wait times are for St. Louis, but someone in the June N-400 group got their interview for naturalization scheduled already (don't know their office).  There's really no reason to wait.  Sincerely.

Note to people who get mistreated by their USCIS officer, please don't be quiet. It is their duty to provide you with good service and apologize for the delay. If they don't, write to your representative or senator and make sure you note down the name of the person. If people speak up these jerks are bound to get fired. If they cross any lines, you can sue them or report harrassment be it mental or physical.Today they'll treat you badly and tomorrow it'll be someone else.So ,please speak up if you come across such a situation.

Also,this video will help :

Exactly! It should be a uniform situation.  Everyone gets a one-year stamp, or no one does.  This bs individual circumstances is exceedingly unprofessional.  Not ok.

You crack me up...

You should probably get a new one. My passport expires in January 2019, and they still gave me a stamp that expires in June 2019...I hope my ROC gets approved before year-end though.

Good News,  my status changed to "new card is being produced" today. I got a notification from case tracker. We mailed our paperwork on 5/16/17, it's been so long that I don't even remember the biometrics date (i'll have to look when i get the chance) but we received an RFE letter on 5/25/17 and we mailed it about a week later after going through emails and gathering documents to prove we were legit, USPS lost the package but found it after 3 days, and got the good news at work today. I wasn't sure whether to cry or not...I told hubby immediately and we're just glad it's over. Now to apply for citizenship.

To everyone waiting, hang in there and those who got their cards, how long did it take before you received the card?

Congrats....

We got an RFE letter as well on 5/25/18 and we mailed it a week later because we wanted to gather as much information as we could. It took them 25 days after they received the package to update the case. It changed to " new card being produced" today but we also did a case inquiry on the 3rd of this month. After the case updated today, they replied via email to let me know that my card is being produced. Hope this helps, wish you the best.

Congrats....
