Hi j/g,

We have the same flight via taipei, can you tell your experience? Im flying with my son and father in law. Is is ok to go in a visitor lane? My son is a USC n my father in law is a Green card holder and mine is Cr1 visa. What are there questions normally?

My flight was with China Airlines. I gave the whole trip a perfect 10 from beginning to end. Seat was comfortable. Service was excellent. food was tasty and the wine was generous. Transit in Taipei was easy. Go to the 4th floor of the transit terminal and have DELICIOUS beef soup noodle while waiting for your next flight.

Arriving in LAX was aVERY emotional moment. The whole K-1 visa has been going for almost 1.5 years for me and my husband. Saying farewell to our friends in Bali was sad but arriving to our new home was a very exciting moment.

The LAX arrival was a lot different than what I remebered it to be the last time I was in LA, 3-4 years ago. It was now VERY quick, VERY Efficient and hassle free. We're arriving midnight so that's also probably why it was quick .... :)

The check at the POE was very quick. I handed my brown envelope (sealed) from the embassy. The officer asked me is this my first married and when am I going to get married. and then finger prints. Stamp. stamp. and done.

Also I'm not sure if you'd be all able to line in the same immigration line. My then Fiancé and I were directed to the K-1 visa line by the officers but at the end we were interviewed in different counter. Which doesn't affect anything in my case.

:)

Good luck with your journey and "Welcome to the USA!!!!!"

PS. Regarding WiFi Connection, neither my husband nor myself was able to get any connection. Since our Bali number didn't have any service we were pretty much unable to contact anyone / uber / lyft. We ended up having to borrow someone's phone and called an uber to go to Pasadena.

Maybe it depends on the officer too. Me and my USC husband (then fiancé) were directed to the non-citizen line and when I was called up to the counter my husband walked up with me. We were never told we couldn't do that and we were questioned at the same time. Just like you said it was super smooth - the officer got the envelope and passport, took my biometrics, we only got two questions each and then he stamped my passport and said "welcome to the United States". Very, very smooth indeed.
