About a week after my case got created I received an email from CANVCEDP@state.gov saying I could email them if I had any questions about the process.

That was the email I mentioned about in the beginning of this thread. They'll usually get back to you in a few hours depending on when you email them.

Just include your case number in the subject line and in the beginning of the email, have the applicant name and date of birth and petitioner name.

Best of luck with the whole uploading process. As soon as you upload it, within 24 hours, they'll either approve or reject it. But most probably approve it :)

Toronto88!

Just called an hour ago and received a case # and IIN #

She said that they did not have an email on account...which is odd, and that they had sent me a letter with case # on June 7.

Usually my US mail takes about 1-2 weeks to arrive...at best.

So now, I can go log in and get this stuff knocked out!

I highly suggest that you call today!

Thanks K&Kir. I finally received my case and IIN # today. They also did not have my email on account as well, which I got them to add. Have you received a welcome email yet? Thanks

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has looked into (tried to) move their interview dates with the Montreal embassy and how that has gone? I have read on older threads that the only way to move an interview to a later date, is to wait for the initial interview date to pass by, and then reach out to the embassy for another date. This results in a significant delay. I was wondering if with the new system, there was any easier way to move the interview date to slightly later than the original date that is assigned. Many thanks!

Had my interview yesterday and I'm all approved!

Just got an email from the consulate telling me that I'm the first electronic visa they have issued in Australia and that I won't have to take any paperwork packets with me when entering the USA, only my passport with the visa in it. They have asked me to let them know my flight itinerary so they can inform the CPB officer at the border.

Hopefully it all goes smoothly at POE.

I was thinking the same thing. We will be flying from Winnipeg, and my partner will be in Toronto at the end of August for something and we have tickets to our dream music festival in Texas October 6! So I am trying to aim for September!

I have not heard anyone changing their dates but I believe I have read something stating that you could call and request it be earlier if you already have medical?

Im thinking just from all I've heard/watched, that if you submitted today, it would be mid-August for MTL. Just a guess.

Do you have everything ready to submit? I'm week 6 on a Canadian police clearance and I feel like I'm going to pull my hair out because it's taking too long.

Agreed, only way seems to be to time the submission of documents to NVC. Thread below is by someone who recently tried to reschedule without any success. They just had to end up waiting for original date to pass before they could reschedule.

Yes I have everything ready to submit. Canadian police clearance took only a week or so for me. I think there are different kinds. Hope you get it soon!

Good luck reaching out to the Montreal Embassy directly. If it's possible I'd like to know how it was done. The only way I can think of is through email by way of NVC. Anyone know another way?

The Montreal embassy can be reached at montreal-iv-dv@state.gov Kellyh in the below thread emailed this address and got a response (although of no use).

Bernard and K&Kir, have you both received a welcome email yet? Do we need to wait for the welcome email before we can start uploading documents? Thanks

I have no idea what a welcome email is, ha, so no I did not receive that. Once they told me on the phone that I had case # and such, I went straight to the website and paid fees so I could start.

Also-Any mail correspondence takes a decade to get to me for some reason so I doubt I'll get any mail until I'm almost done with process.

Im going to try to upload police clearance receipt and see if they will take that for now. It was ordered May 20th. It's rediculous to wait this long. Maybe they will accept it and request to look at it during interview. We shall see tomorrow.

So far I have uploaded aos, both fees, and 260. All I have left is civil documents and joint sponsor. But a) I have to wait for police clearance, and b) they havnt allowed me to upload my joint sponsor financial evidence yet.

Toronto, are you waiting because you don't want an August date?

I also didn't get a welcome email. Just called NVC and as soon as I got the case number and invoice number I paid my fees.

fees took 2-3 days to post. Then you can go back in and start uploading.

ADVISE: When uploading use only INTERNET EXPLORER. And upload one document page at a time. Believe me not knowing this caused my a 10 day delay.

Be prepared to log back in several times as the website kicks you out constantly, it is a frustrating thing because logging back in is annoying. But keep at it! Much love to all of you. Your comments are so helpful when the system can be so un-helpful 💕

Yes I want a September date as well. I think I am just going to submit the documents this weekend (I only paid the fees yesterday, so waiting for them to get "Paid").

Thanks, that's useful to know! I would have expected one document at a time, not one page at a time!!

I thought I had read somewhere that a checklist is received with a welcome email/mail and this checklist is submitted with the AOS and IV packages. This may be part of the old system or I must be totally mistaken. Anyways, does not matter now it seems. Thanks for responding so quickly, goodluck!

I think that is apart of the old system.

As soon as I got access to the website, I found that there were two sections (Financial and civil) were you upload your documents. They already have specific documents that you need to upload.

I got an email from the Montreal embassy last week telling me to bring in a list of the originals of some of the documents that I submitted.
