Hello,

When I submitted my I-129f, I included proof of meeting and proof of relationship. Now with Packet 3 & 4, they asked for proof of ongoing relationship also (assuming they want proof that the relationship is still ongoing from the time I submitted I-129f to present). My question is do I have to physically send the original proofs (i.e. Boarding passes, cards, photos, tickets, etc.) to bring to the embassy or would copies be ok. Also, do I need to resubmit the previous proofs I submitted to USCIS also to the embassy? The interview is in 2 weeks and I'm worried because we submitted a lot of proof with I-129f prior to Packet 3 ( I sent colored copies with I-129f but the copies I have of that are in black and white. Would the embassy have a copy of the proof I sent to USCIS?

Thank you!

Everything you submitted with the I-129F will be sent to the embassy. However, having a copy with you at the interview is recommended because papers can get lost along the way.

You should also be providing new relationship evidence since you submitted the I-129F. They want to see evidence of an ongoing relationship still since it's likely been months since you filed the I-129F.

Your I-129F and supporting documents are forwarded to the embassy by USCIS.  You can send proof for your fiance to take to the interview from the beginning until now (even though the embassy already has this), or proof of an on-going relationship from the time you filed until now (the embassy has none of this because it was post-petition).  I have done a bit of both in the past.  I've given my fiance copies of chat logs and phone records that I had already sent, as well as updated proof.

You say that "they" requested this information, are you speaking of the packet the embassy sent you or VJ suggestions?

Sorry I meant "they" as in the packet. I wasnt sure if it is necessary to bring all the original evidence such as boarding passes, pictures, cards to the interview. Would copies of the originals be adequate? Or should I have my fiancee bring the originals with her to the interview as well?

Supporting evidence only needs to be copies. Anything you submit may not be returned.

That's good to know. Also, would it matter if the copies of the supporting evidence are in black and white or is colored a must? Sorry for asking so much, I'm just making sure I get it right since I do not have much time to prepare.

I believe photos should be in color, but I'm not certain if that's a requirement or just recommended. Normal documents should be fine in black and white.
