ds 160 tourist visa for my father

hi i m a permanent resident married to usc , we thought to apply for a tourist visa for my dad to come n visit us.

Well , we did submit the ds 160 application , n we got his confirmation page n everything , but we still tryin to figure out how to 

process it , how to pay the fee and wat s next to do so we can get him an interview?

please help us with some advice. thank u

YOU don't do anything. It is HIM who has to apply. HE is the one that needs the visa, NOT YOU.

 

There is no sponsorship for visitor visas. But you can assist him with the process. Be careful though, if an America relative does too much for an applicant it can raise suspicion.

thank u for the reply  , but my dad does not know how to file for it , so that s why i m the preparer for his visa application,

i submitted it for him with all the information he provided me , i don t think that s a big deal . since not everybody knows how to do it themself.

i just filled the application for him,that s it . and i put my name down there as the preparer

Then that is OK. You are simply assisting him on filling out the application.

 

There have many people who think they have to petition a relative for a visitor visa and provide things like their financial information for support. Since that is not the case, then he should be fine.
