I am so out of touch with all this is it even called an NOA once your at this stage?!

Anyhow sent off to get conditions removed on 03/30 and got the notice back from USPS to say it was delivered on 04/02 but as yet they haven't cashed the checks and we haven't heard anything.

Big thing is we are moving - I am moving on Friday and Hubby is joining me 04/27.

I am about to fill in the AR11 but would appriciate any 'timelines' for this.

Hey there, stranger! :thumbs:

Don't start panicking but I sent my I-751 into Vermont back in December and it took them 2 months to send me my NOA/extension letter. :unsure:

When I applied for the I-130 at Vermont - it took them only 19 days. Now I have been reading that they are really slowwwww.

Hey Sharon whats up matey!! How's things? Good to see your still about - I know, I know, I have been slack but hey ho life happens and things get busy and with all the best intentions etc etc.

You know what I kinda wish I hadn't read all this now as my application was pretty lame to be honest. But you know what it's like you read a few posts and paranoier sets in......!

Anyhow I guess what is bothering me more is they haven't cashed the checks yet. I am going back to the UK in May - my card will be valid until June so I shouldn't panic but it would be nice to have the NOA before I go.

How quick is quick? Do you know how long it took them to cash your checks..........

Am I right that I should get an NOA first then the extention letter all going well...........really should have looked into this more but I have been pretty sick and hubby has his finals at school and we are moving to a differant State on Friady! Talk about all happen at once!

Hey JHJ...good to see you posting. Take a look at my timeline....I sent my paperwork the first of March. I got the NOA exactly two weeks later. The NOA is the extension letter. Good luck with the move! So...did you get the extension letter?

Took just over 2 months for me(going throug vermont)!! Took around 6 months in total from filing I-751 to receiving 10 yr greencard.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

VSC received my I-751 on october, 5th, my NOA's date is oct, 18th. Still nothing though...

U.S. CITIZEN SINCE MAY 8TH 2008

NATURALIZATION

28th july 2007 - N-400 mailed to VSC

(exactly on the 90th day mark...applications NOT returned although some scared me into thinking they could have!)

30th july 2007 - N-400 delivered to VSC

11th august 2007 - Delivery Confirmation receipt received

17th september 2007 - Money Order (FINALLY!) cashed

9th november 2007 - NOA! (notification period given 180 days)

21th november 2007 - Biometrics appointment letter

18th december 2007 - Biometrics appointment in Baltimore, MD completed

29th march 2008 - FINALLY received letter with interview date!

8th may 2008 H 8:40 AM - Interview in Baltimore-APPROVED!

8th may 2008 H 3:00 pm (yes same day, crazy!) Oath Ceremony in Baltimore

24th may 2008 - US Passport application mailed off

6th june 2008 - US Passport received in the mail!!!
