Apparently, they rejected the one we sent. Our attorney was the one who sent it with the translation. Now they want a birth certicate with a Folio (probably) an updated one. We are meeting our attorney this Friday. 

Had a similar experience re my birth certificate. Here's a link to the post i made back in March re the checklist i git and hiw i was able to get it overturned. Hope it helps.

Can anyone call NVC who has scan date between 24th March to 30th March and check if they are reviewing files for this scan date or not.

@cadtousa My scan date was 3/27. I called a couple of days ago and they told me that my case was either currently being reviewed or about to be reviewed. I didn't get a straightforward answer.

ya I know not everyone gives a good response. please try calling them today or tomorrow as next week is long weekend.

Just called NVC and they confirmed our case was received as of May 23rd! I asked for a case # but it hasn't been assigned yet. She said it could take up to 2 weeks but from most timelines I've seen it doesn't typically take that long. I'll call again next week after I get back from vacation! YAY!

As of last night my file has not been reviewed.  March 24 scan date.

I have received that response too.  Then I ask is it being reviewed or waiting to be reviewed.  Then they clarify and say it has not been reviewed yet.

So strange. not in review yet. means you have to wait till clock ticks 11 weeks.

Hi @cleon86 it takes about 2 weeks to get NVC case number and IIN through email. mine was taken 2 weeks too. hope u ll get ur case number soon. Gud Luck!
