Hi,

Have you had a chance to look at the spreadsheet?

NVC Case Status Spread Sheet -  2017 (save this link in your browser)

Please visit the following, this will update the spreadsheet with your info.

NVC Case Status Questionnaire -  2017

VERY IMPORTANT: please keep your confirmation email to edit your status as your case moves along.. Yes, You CAN bookmark the questionnaire link but only after opening it up via email. I have no access to resend your original questionnaire to you. Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

If you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.

Thank you, JBMG

I have just now filled the questionnaire.

Yes, this would absolutely be an issue. Your name and date of birth are critica since this must match the passport which will receive the visa.

You need to call uscis asap with the mistake and corrected information. You're lucky you realized it early on or it might have been harder to correct after your file is sent to the NVC.  I would send them an email immediately and call nvc informing them of the error.

hi,

thank you for the response. Unfortunately my case has already been sent to NVC. I will call uscis on monday morning and depending on what they say, will call NVC. Its weird that i sent them my US passport copy along with other supporting document and they did not look those docs to check my name.

my name is correct, just that they have put in as firstname firstname, last name Instead of firstname, lastname.

So I logged in to my CEAC account and it says that  ''Once received, it will take the NVC 30 days to review your case.''

I wonder if it's actually a correct information. Would be really great if instead of 11 weeks they would really actually take only a month to review the documents.

P.S. I still haven't got my scan date, will keep calling them starting tomorrow, hopefully they will scan it soon. The closer we get to the end of the process, the harder it becomes for us to remain patient :D:D

For some reason they never updated that.   Unfortunately it is taking about 9 - 10 weeks now for most people.

Anyone case ever been under administrativeprocess before ?

I looked at the spreadsheet. I seen you listed 2 checklist dates? Could this be the reason they put you under "administrative review" ?

I wish i knew, even a supervisor couldn't tell me . And i read about AP it happens after interview , and they notify you with a letter 221. In my case none of these things happened .

Yea I think that happens if the interviewer feels Thier is a need for more processing or checking of the data base. Or a "red flag" but I haven't heard of administrative processing at NVC stage..unless they mean the same as supervisor review. The only thing that came to mind was them sending out two separate checklist and two different instances and it still not being resolved or enough for case complete maybe they want to see why. Just a guess though. I hope you get answers soon!

One checklist for a stupid number 1 i put in the wrong box in the AOS even the total was right second checklist is because i did not sent another 12 pages AOS when i made the correction. I thought I only have to send that one page. I'm  an us  citizen , i petitioned for my mother in 2013 . She had her green in 6 months. But in her case she was her with a valid visa i did the ajustement of status.

O wow that really sucks.

Our lawyer fair warned us how NVC/embassy's are very strict about what they want when we were trying to gather our documents. But it seems You literally have to check and double check yourself with every step you do when it comes to NVC and try to get it right the first time. Hopefully we were successful 😥😫

I'm happy for you really . I don't wish what we are going through on anybody. It is torture. When you hear from a supervisor that your case could be on hold for days or weeks or months even years and saying that's all i can tell you. It feels like someone had stab me in my chest.
