Thanks! Anyone have recent experiences with your case being complete? Just so we know what the actual time from receive date to CC is taking?

With manual processing you're looking at an 11 week wait.

Hey all,

On 4/7/17 NVC received my DS-260 and on 4/11/2017 I mailed my AOS and other docs. I forgot to send in some civil docs which I finally send and NVC confirmed they received it on 5/4/17.

My question is do I have to wait for 11 weeks from 4/11 or 5/4?

Also, anyone here can share the approximate time it has taken NVC to complete a case (CC) once NVC has the DS-260 and all forms? Thanks!!

it usually takes 9-11 weeks now. for most of people i saw here it takes around 10 weeks. and your scan date should be May 4th. so wait til the 8 or 9 week mark and then start calling them every day. good luck.

Thanks for the response. When was your 8th week mark? People from here said that wait time only recently changed to 11 weeks (?). Last time I checked was maybe February or January. It was 30-60 days if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not sure if there's a letter (there probably is). The arrangement is the employer does everything by the local agency here (they own it so it's a direct hire; however, information is scarce sometimes). The agency only told me to submit the civil documents to them (the cover letter and everything else, plus employer's documents--they combined everything and they sent those on their side all together in one mailing). Manila, Philippines is the consulate I'm interviewing at if everything goes well.

8 Week mark was about the 8th of March. Now at close to 5 weeks for my checklist item.

Have you called the NVC after you got a CC? You should  call them,I think consistently to get a interview date. Probably they should be sending you a P4 letter(i think).

Each embassy is unique and depending on how free they are, interviews are scheduled...Please access Country specific portal and get the info.

These could help you in arranging and collecting documents:

NOA1 - Notice of Acceptance 1, that's when USCIS receives your case.

NOA2 - Notice of Acceptance 2, that's when USCIS approves your case and sends it to NVC.

Fill up the questionnaire(created by @JBMG)....NVC Case Status Questionnaire - February, March, April 2017

The spreadsheet would be automatically updated.. you could use it to track how the NVC is progressing...

Is your case with NVC? I don't see your timeline updated...

Hi. I understand this thread is under family-based immigration. I have an approved i-140 under EB-3 petition. NVC received the documents on March 13th so I'm on my 8th week of waiting now. I wonder if the 11 weeks are consistently the same for different types of visas. I can't find a thread of EB-3 / I-140 NVC filers like this. Sorry to gate crash here.

Hi – I'm also EB3. I've called NVC and they told me the 11 weeks apply to us as well.

Hi all – grateful for all the knowledge shared here, helped me a lot.

I have a question that hopefully someone can answer.

I called NVC recently and they told me my case has been in review for almost two weeks and they didn't want to give me an estimate on how long it's gonna stay in review. I'm still within the 11 weeks timeframe though. Is this normal or should I be concerned? From what I saw on the forum, most people's cases stay in review only a couple of days or so...

I should mention that I'm EB-3. Do you think this is why it takes longer?

Thanks in advance.
