@JessieABC thanks for ur help. sir but my question was that if a person just only filed most recent year tax return and in previouse years he failed to file his returns bcz that person did nt worked at all.. Is that person qualifies to file i-864 for his spose or not??

Then don't include previous years.  Most people include previous years if something happened in the latest year which brings their income down and previous years show higher consistent income.  Others include it as optional just to show strong finances over time and to further establish financial stability.

 

You only HAVE TO include previous years IF you believe it will help in your case to establish strong financial evidence to satisfy the requirements.  Does their income reported in the latest tax year meet and/or exceed the 125% of poverty line? Are you also using assets to qualify? If their income in the latest tax year + assets barely meets the poverty line, they may be required to present previous years in which case you should also prepare to explain why they have not filed (refer to the IRS Tax Transcript description within the "Obtain Financial Evidence section for details on what they need to do).

 

For reference. the I-864 sponsor MUST be domiciled in the United States and be a US CItizen.  Proof of their US Status would be required.  Therefore, they are supposed to file a tax return EVERY YEAR, even if unemployed.  If they did not, and do not have a valid explanation as to why, i would suggest you find another sponsor.

Does anyone know how long it takes nvc to schedule an interview...I called and confirmed cc on May 9th but I haven't received an email yet and do they also stop scheduling after the first 2 weeks of the month? Im confused does anyone know

It really seems to depend on the embassy as to how long they will continue to schedule interviews.  It's all a matter of whether there are any time slots still available.  I had CC on 5/5 but still no interview.  Haven't called today though so fingers crossed there's one waiting for me:)

 

Last month they were still scheduling up to around the middle of the month.  I would imagine if you don't have one by the end of the week it would be unlikely you'd get a June interview.  That's how I'm looking it for myself but you never know.  Good luck!

Im on my 12 weeks. A supervisor finally called me today , to tell me that they can not do anything because my case is under administrative whatever else she said. I am sooo tired of waiting i haven't see my husband in 4 months already.

Our application was approved on April 28 but has still not been sent to NVC..anyone else faced such a similar delay or is in a similar situation?

I was approved on 24th. Just arrived yesterday.

Has your myUscis case status changed to "Case was sent to Department of State"?

USCIS doesn't actually send your case to NVC right after approval, your case status will change when they do. Once your USCIS case status changes, it usually takes 5-7 days for NVC to receive.

 

Our case was approved on 01/18, but USCIS case status changed on 01/31. NVC received on 02/06.
