My husband submitted his AOS and tracking said NVC received April 17, 2017 but still 

"Submit requested docs"  🙄

Just a general questions....did anyone seek help filling out the Affidavit of Support or did you complete in on you own. I printed out a copy of it so that I can go over all the questions.  It doesn't seem hard but I don't want any mistakes on it. Also do I have to fill out more that one if I am also sponsoring my husband's son?

I read that many times that need to call NVC to inform they already receive the requested docs and I'm telling that to my husband. But my husband told me need to wait 30 days b4 he calls NVC to inform them. He said that's what he read in NVC policy. 

So 2 weeks from now b4 he inform NVC. Even I told him its ok if u call now.

you can call nvc by yourself, it is just to make sure. i read that some people's packets were delivered already but the scan date were few weeks later than the delivered date. so it's always good to just find out first. try calling them 7-8 am ET to avoid the long wait.

I'm a little worried about getting a checklist. We used bank account savings to reach the poverty line limit because my husband isnt making enough to meet the limit yet. But the savings haven't been in the account for 12 months yet. I read just now that it has to be in the bank account for at least 12 months.  with 9/11 weeks waiting time down, i'm so anxious. ughhh

It never hurts to call them, especially if since this process is new to many of us.

Is it ok if I don't have the tracking number? I don't want to bother my husband about calling nvc. Is case number only thing I will going to get ready once I call nvc?

Hi, they won't ask for the tracking number, only your case number, petitioner and beneficiary names and dates of birth. Call them the worst thing that can happen is that they tell you they haven't received they documents yet.

Well just finished a call with NVC, my documents were received may 2nd but i was told to wait until May 16 to call back for a case # and invoice id, did anyone called before and got them or should i just wait?

Keep calling until you get the case number & invoice id! we got it withing 5-6 working days of they receiving our file!!
