Mine took 2 days. You should call them once you know they have your documents and the date they confirm would be your scan date.

I want to ask for your advice, my husband got involved in an accident last week and he's at the hospital recovering from a surgery due to some fractures, he is in company of his dad and some other relatives right now, his recovery will take some time and I would really like to be helping him get through this, my question is, what do you think if I should make a request for expedite at this time of the process or it won't make any difference since we are at the last stage, thank you everybody!

You can request for an expedite - considering your husband's situation!! You would need to provide all the medical reports of your husband. They would grant your expedite based on your proofs.

The thread is for individuals whose cases are now with the national visa center so that we can share information, questions and timeline updates.

 

Oftentimes, you will encounter others with similar scan dates. When their cases get completed, you can get a good feel for when yours may complete. Sharing your timeline updates and updating you VJ to line will also help others in the same manner.

hello, i'm sorry about your husband's accident. It's already so difficult to go through the long distance  from what i read, there are two kinds of expedite. 1. they skip nvc review step and directly let the embassy review your documents instead. 2. they still review docs at the nvc, but once you get your cc, they send it to the embassy and schedule interview right away. so the wait from cc to interview wouldnt take 1-2 months. so i guess you can still request for expedite. good luck and i wish a speedy recovery for your husband.

Thank you very much! I will do it ASAP I have nothing to lose and it totally worths the effort, I was in doubt because maybe it would delay my case if they received the request at This time but now that you tell me they can expedite a CC I'm totally going for it. Do you by any chance have an idea of how long do they take to approve the expedite?

Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.

If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.

Scan Date: Feb 27

Hoping this will be my last NVC thread of waiting for CC.

 

Monday marks start of 10th week for us. I really hope to get CC within 11 weeks.
