We have the same scan date! I'm glad to hear this - gives me some hope. I wasn't going to call until next week, but now I think I'll have to call when they open today 😄

Congrats to all of the CCs!

Does scan date means all document is okay and application is ready for review ? I don't really understand what the scan implies , please someone should help with explanation thanks ....

Unfortunately, it does not mean that.

It only means that the NVC has received your documents and they have it on their system and is in line to be reviewed!

Hi, since I just read you were approved for expedite I was wondering if you could maybe help me out. My expedite request was approved on Friday as well but I'm just curious about when they will be mailing out my file to the embassy. Have they already mailed yours?

Hi, my file was send last night, when I log in to CEAC my message says in transit.  I believe they should get it by tomorrow at the embassy, I would recommend you call them, I called them twice yesterday because sometimes they hold on to your file for no reason.  I hope you get good news today.  let us know, good luck

Congrats to all of the CCs!

I have a scan date of April 04th. Called yesterday still no clear response. they say we cannot see if it is in the review or not. so is it just supervisor can see that your case is under review ? should I call them again this week or wait?

And means CC date? If the date of interview? If so, since the case is complete when more or less is assigned?

CC date is when the case is completed and done with the review at the NVC. It isn't the interview date.

After the case is completed then you wait for the interview. I think the average wait time for an interview is about a month but that depends on your embassy.

Hope that helped!

Thank You. Ofcourse the reps can say if your case is in review. But these days they aren't revealing it..Keep trying by making calls to NVC everyday.. you might get a nice rep who could give you the correct answer. Good Luck!

Quick update

Scan Date: 04.20.17

Sent in expedite request on 05.18.17 due to very long processing time on our I-130. Took them over 10 month to complete. Received an email from NVC this morning stating the following: “The U.S. Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case when we have all the fees, forms, and documents. If you have not already done so, you can pay your fees and submit Form DS-260 at ceac.state.gov.

I called NVC to get clarification and they explained to me that they will still have to review our case and once its completed, they will send it straight to the embassy and the embassy will set the appointment date, rather than the NVC.

And the waiting game continues.
