Thanks @Zaib212.  Guess I'll just have to keep calling for now until AOS disappears from my page...maybe it will, maybe it won't.  Can never be certain with NVC :(

You right! i mean its hard to guess now with the new update, and this could be true CC vs in pending but the best way to call. I am on 10 weeks so i will call them again on Friday and then finally on my 11 weeks. :jest:

I just called again, to be sure, and another representative (quite rude one) said I have to allow up to 11 weeks for them to review. She also said that she can't see any info suggesting our case has been picked up for review yet. She furthermore added that our case has been in review department since they received it.

See what I mean? They are just answering randomly.

:(  still... Good Luck!!

So far we are assuming:

  • Those who filed Cr1/IR1 without a lawyer will have AOS fee reflecting PAID
  • Once Case is completed, AOS fee section disappears from the portal page

Anyone in the thread (without a lawyer) still waiting for case complete that has a ceac portal page which does not show the AOS fee section?

@trininurse since you're using a lawyer. Can you confirm that your screen looks different (or the same) as the one on the left?

Mine now says " No action required: Review in Progress" on the status page. But then it starts talking about DS-261.

@JessieABC I filed a CR1 without a lawyer and I do not have any AOS fee section.

I keep trying to call but they hang up saying too many calls.

I don't think that status will change until you get a CC. Or maybe it does but only once it's under review?

As you can see below, USPS tracking states that the NVC received my mail on April 24th. But when I called in on the 24th and 25th, they had no record of it. Finally on the 26th, they said they received the documents on the 25th.  But as you can see, my status still says "Action required: submit requested documents". It would be great if they could update this message in real time as they get receipt of our documents.. This would def save us from calling into their customer service line to see if they have received them and getting our scan date.

If you want to find out if they received your documents, and what your scan date is, you'll need to call them. The 11 weeks start from when they received your documents.

4/19/2017 Mailed out Supporting documents
4/24/2017 USPS Tracking confirmed that NVC received documents
4/25/2017 NVC confirmed receipt, scan date
4/26/2017 submitted the 260 - 11 weeks starts today

thks you always give great info on here :)

Hi, the screens I'm looking for or asking about are only from the IR1 / spouse visa applicants who have completed the 260 and 261, paid all fees (and shows paid), and mailed in supporting documents.. The options are going to change before those steps are completed... Also, I've understood that our "status" will change from "submit documents" to "AT NVC" when we have a CC.

My AOS section is back now that my file has actually reached my local embassy.  This AOS section came back only today 02 May

My file did reach the local embassy on 30 April, although they said to me dispatched on 01 May it was actually dispatched 27 April (same day as interview expedite was accepted).  Its possible that the AOS is back given my interview date is now ready (although I don't know of it yet).

Sorry. I do have a IR1, completed all my fees, applications, submitted my docs 4/28 via email.

My status DID say "submit documents" until this morning and now it says:

NO ACTION REQUIRED: REVIEW IN PROCESS

On 2017-04-18, the National Visa Center (NVC) received your Form DS-261 (Choice of Address and Agent). NVC is reviewing this form.
What do I need to do now?
You do not need to do anything now but wait. Once NVC reviews your Form DS-261, NVC will send your agent* a letter or email with next steps.
If your agent does not receive a letter or an email by 2017-05-09 after submitting Form DS-261, please contact NVC by phone at +1-603-334-0700 or send us a question online at: http://nvc.state.gov/ask
*An agent is NVC's point of contact for your case. This could be you, a relative, friend, immigration organization or lawyer. Your agent needs a reliable email or mailing address that is checked regularly. We will use these address to send information about your case. Your agent is expected to respond to instructions and requests for items that we send in a timely fashion.

Ok, so now i get it. If you use a lawyer, you don't have the "agent" part on your screen...
