No, mine still shows as "at NVC". I'm assuming they should send it soon. I know that you can call them to confirm the date the p4 documents were sent to the embassy.

Also, thanks for the update with Sonic Plus! We booked our appointment and you were right, they didn't require the appointment letter. Strangely or maybe just a coincidence, after I posted the issue about the interview appointment letter, got the email around 5pm yesterday. (what a relief!)

That's great about the appointment.  They even told me I could bring Australian size passport photos.  I said, I paid good money for American size ones as per the instructions so they'll be getting those;)

I still haven't received my interview letter but I think it takes quite a few days.

Took about a week for my wife  to get her P4 letter after it was scheduled.

Firstly congratulations to everyone who got their interviews and/or got their visas approved!

I'm happy to report I AM IN THE USA!!  I arrived on monday afternoon, and had what is probably not the standard processing.  I got gastro about an hour into my 12.5hr flight, while travelling with my baby girl, and by the time we landed in LAX I was too weak to even walk on  my own let alone carry my luggage and daughter.  They fetched a wheelchair for me and I was taken through the airport, baggage, and immigration in a wheelchair, and with airport helpers carrying my bags.
When I got up to the immigration window he only asked for mine and my daughters passports (my baby is a USC), which I handed over and stated that my husband is already here as of a week ago.  A short while later asked me to verify my right hand fingerprints, and after about 5 mins of typing he handed my passport back saying "ok all done".  I'm pretty sure that's not how it usually goes. No questions at all.

Then it was onto my connecting flight to my final destination.  I was pretty weak, thirsty and out of it... its a bit of a blur, but the main thing is WE MADE IT!!  And as of today I finally feel "normal" and am able to feel that sense of relief that the process is over!

Congrats!  And welcome to the U.S.

Please also note that I had callwd the embassy on 04/25 and they hadn't rexeiced anything nor could they telll me at that point their ETA based on the NVC dispatch date however the documents were received the next day. The embassy was nice enough to actually give me a call to let me know they arrived (I needed to change my interview date...)

@missileman and @penelope_Cy Thank you both for your replies. I called the embassy this morning and was told that they cannot provide me this information and I can only email the consulate. I dreaded this as the Cairo Consulate is not friendly at all.

I had my husband email them from his email address. We are still waiting for a response. We just wanted to be sure that the documents actually arrived.

The NVC said that they no longer have them since May-6, and I now have to ask the consulate in Cairo. So God Willing nothing is wrong, and perhaps it's just the CEAC website has not been updated until now. ? Hopefully we will get an answer so soon.

Thanks again! :)

Hey folks – sorry if this is a stupid question, but if I had a case complete on May 16, when should I expect the email from NVC with the interview date? Right now my case still says "at nvc". Thanks in advance.

You should call the NVC to ask. If going by past months, you could expect to find out at the end of this month when your interview is. They often don't email you the letter until a week or so after it's been booked so most of us call every few days to check.

I just got the email today after waiting about a week and a half from when I phoned (turns out I phoned the day it was scheduled!). I would suggest waiting on scheduling flights or whatever though. The email says my interview is three days later than the NVC guy said it was on the phone!

Edit: CC date was April 17.

Did they actually ask to see any more evidence when you were at the interview?  The Australian consulate doesn't request that you bring evidence but I have copies of what I used for the I-130 and put a stack of cards and photos in an envelope just in case.

Before the interview, I read what the embassy listed in our confirmation email as the type of evidence they like to see for the interview. They suggested bringing evidence of money transfers and phone logs, also postmarked letters, but we had none of that to show. We just had a bunch of photos and that was good enough for them. They did not ask if we had anything else.
