Hello Everyone

I am having hard time setting up an account with the DHL.   I tried couple of times, but I couldn't manage to do it.  Would some one be able to write the steps, so I could follow.  The case is in London.  Thanks

You're welcome.  Tell the school that she is immigrating and they will prepare what she needs for enrollment in a sealed packet.

Oh the records were sealed by the school authorities. The US Consulate in Mumbai gave us no such requirement? Was it mentioned in your husband's interview appointment letter/ instructions from the embassy? I will regardless get it from my daughter's school here in India.

Sorry for the repeated request for clarifications and more information. Who sealed the school records - The embassy after reviewing it OR did the embassy ask for sealed records from the school? Did they ask for the original school records or the copy?

I apologize for the confusion.  The request for previous school records by the embassy were case specific.

If you have a child who will be attending school in the US, let the current school know the child is immigrating. The school will prepare a sealed packet to give to the US school upon enrollment.

Can anyone tell me if they or their spouse had to register with a courier service in Lagos? If so, which company did you use?

Thanks for sharing this link.... It would not allow Immigrant Visa type to proceed for some reason. It will only allow Non-immigrant to register!

Hello everyone! Just a quick update. It's been 21 days since I entered the US. Yesterday, I got my green card in the mail so that took about 3 weeks from POE for them to get the card to me. Still no social security number yet, which in hindsight I should have made sure that the immigration officer took note that I DID request my social security number when I filled out my DS-260. As it says in the wiki on the front page of this thread, that online request for social security number on the DS-260 only works sometimes, and if you don't receive yours within 21 days you should probably go in person to the nearest office. I will be doing just that tomorrow as I have been unable to make any official bank transactions/account changes, driving permit matters, and job applications without my social security number. Gotta have that number ASAP!

Congratulations to everyone who has received their case complete's, interview dates, and interview approvals. Just a few more steps before the grand POE! Good luck to everyone! :D

Congratulations!!!!

Please do tell us how you're adjusting in new country.

Roughly how long does it take for your status on CEAC to switch from at NVC to in transit once an interview has been booked.  Our interview was scheduled yesterday so haven't received the letter yet.  It's only in three weeks though so need to get organised:)
