Withdrawing K1 Petition After Approval

After months of waiting and trying so hard, we finally got the NOA2 Friday, at which point my ex-fiance proceeded to inform me that he no longer wants to come to the US. How do I cancel the petition if it's in the process of being forwarded to the NVC/how can I stop that, as quickly as possible so I don't have to draw out the pain?

 

If you're going to post about how I wasted time that could have spent on somebody else's, please don't. I'm already devastated as is.

Send a letter to USCIS asking for the K1 be cancelled.  Include as much information so they can locate your file.

 

I certainly hope no one in this forum comments negatively on your situation. The end of relationships can be really difficult. I wish you peace and happiness.

It really depends on if your application has already progressed to the consulate.  If you are still talking about the I129F application, then send your letter to USCIS, but if it has been moved to the consulate phase, you have to send the letter there.
