Im a little confused about where to file the paperwork for AOS for those living in Texas. It says on the new rule effective Oct. 23,2006 that one can submit the documents in person thru infopass appointment if the application is based on:

"A family relationship with an immediately available immigrant visa."

Does this cover K-1 visa?

Depends on where you live. If you live in the area covered by the DORA program (Dallas and perhaps El Paso?) then you can file directly there. Otherwise all AOS applicatins go to the Chicago Lock box facility.

That's only true for people living in Dallas and El Paso (or under the jurisdiction of the Dallas office and El Paso) as far as I know!

Yes I live in Henderson county under the jurisdiction of Dallas Distric Office. So that means I bring my documents personally when I get my infopass appointment right? That includes EAD documents too?

Anyone who has done this, please advise. thanks!

With the DORA program they are trying to do everything in 90 days (but it depends in the FBI name check). A lot of people don't submit the I765 in the beginning because it is possible to have the GC in 3 months. Anyway, you will be able to submit the I765 whenever you want. You need to make an appointment with INFOPASS and choose DORA. Then bring with you everything: forms, checks and everything that you will bring to the interview. If all the forms are complete you will have the interiew in that moment!!

Hope that it helps! (sorry for my English!)
