Hello,

I have recently joined this forum and I already see lots of information what I am looking for in order to apply for J1 waiver. It may be to early for me to ask these questions. But if you know or have experience in this regard, please help.

1. Can I ask for the NOC letters from my home country in advance and wait 1-2 years to submit them to the consulate?

2. Is there any such thing that the letter from my hoe country will be out of date?

3. It is about a year in my current J1 position. Will it be too soon to apply for waiver, or should I wait till 4th year.

4. Can I apply for Green Card while I am in J1?

these are few things came to my mind and I would appreciate your input.

Thanks you very much...

What country are you from?

1. No. You need to be in the process of the J-1 waiver application - your embassy will send the documents to DoS.

2. You don't get the letter. The embassy will send it directly to DoS, so no.

3. Too soon and very likely to get denied, as well as jeopardize your J-1 status.

4. No, if you have the 2YHRR attached.
