My husband has his medical exam Tuesday. His interview in Islamabad is only two weeks from Monday. He has not received any kind of packet or anything from anyone (Packet 3)?  What if he never receives anything? We are beginning to panic. Has anyone else been in this situation?

Hi! I don't know how it goes about his type of visa, b/c my husband came on a k1 and his packet was emailed to me. Have you checked his and your e-mail? If you have, try e-mailing the embassy and letting them know. I hope all goes well.

My wife never received anything in the mail before her interview for her CR-1. She got an email, and printed that "interview appointment letter" email off to bring to the interview. The email also instructed her to go to a website to register the appointment, and to select a courier for the visa. She paid that, and printed off the proof of payment.

She never got anything physical in the mail.

I had my K1 visa interview on March 27, 2017. They don't send packet 3 anymore. They just send you an email on where to get the medical and how to get the appointment date. You guys should check your emails to see if there is any email from embassy.

This is the email which I received.

Dear Applicant / Petitioner!

We are pleased to inform you that our office has received the subject case from the National Visa Center to initiate the visa processing of this case.

Please follow the link below in order to get the complete information on “How to set an online appointment and what documents will be required at the time of interview?”

You suppose to get an email similar to that.

Thanks for the info. I asked my Senator's office about this. She contacted NVC and they say they don't need to send us a packet. I think if you do most of this online at the beginning, they have most of what they need, thank goodness.

My hubby had his medical exam today in Islamabad. He said it wasn't hard and took about 3 hours. Cost was 230 USD. They asked him several times if he had ever tried drugs (no way), did he have allergies, medical conditions, etc. and why he was going to the US.

I highly recommend that everyone get their Senator's office to help them. I don't think we would have been this far if not for them. They have special email and phone numbers where they can get through to immigration much easier than the rest of us.

Next up is my husband's interview on May 15. We are just continuing to pray and pray that we are approved and don't get stuck in AP hell. After all these years of trying to be together and being disappointed, it seems unreal that he could actually be here soon.
