forms 485/765

We filed the 485 and the 765 both at the same time. We didn't realize we had to send a seperate check for the 765.. not realizing all the fees and forms were seperate..

anywho.. we got the Biometrics appointment for the 485 thinking this would cover both forms again... and recently got *ANOTHER* appointment letter.. to the same office.. to get the very same thing done again.

Has this happened to anyone else? is this a normal thing? Isn't this redundant??

Is there a reason for this redundancy? Fingerprints are fingerprints.. no? lol .. Both these appointments are 3 weeks apart. Seems like a waste of time and money but of course we will comply *sigh*

I would bring both Biometrics notices with you when you go to your 1st appt. Chances are that you won't have to come in again for the 2nd one. Just make sure to point out that you got two appts., spaced days apart.

Sometimes they send you both copies, sometimes just one.

You can take both to the first appointment and get them both stamped, its been done before, good luck!

we had the 1st appointment on April 3rd already.. and just today. April 10th got another letter for a 2nd appointment on April 24th for the 2nd Biometrics appointment. We do still have the 1st appointment letter. Sooo.. We go to the 2nd appointment and tell them we were there on April 3rd? We still have to pay for parking.. and take the time to go there again.

Just jumping through hoops lol .. BUT at least we got to sit together hehe

My wife's appointment listed the receipt numbers for both EAD and AOS. The staff in San Antonio knew exactly how to handle them also. A bit encouraging after all this red tape!
