Dear all,

thank you so much for your previous answers. We were talking about our supporting evidence today and discussing how to present them to USCIS? Should we get some color laser print outs and scan the pictures before? Or do we send it original pictures glued on paper and then labeled on the side of the picture?

How did you guys do it?

Thank you so much! Hope you guys have a great weekend.

USCIS usually accepts copies unless they specifically tell you to send originals.

If you send originals and they didn't ask for them they will keep the original for their records.

The only thing I send as originals are pictures.

I was a K1 not CR1 but picture requirements are the same. I made a word doc where I put the picture (with digital date stamp) and next to each picture a description of who, what and where was in the pictures. Each picture was chosen to show a part of our "story" that was mentioned in a 1 page description of how we met and got to the point we were at at that time. So for instance we wrote " On so and so date we met at so and so airport (see evidence x-boarding card, y-picture, z-receipt)" After staying in my home town for 2 weeks we travel to my parents house (see evidence x2 - restaurant receipt from USC's card, y2 - picture)"  etc etc ...

We just made sure each piece of evidence tied in to our timeline that we described on that one page.. :)

We were pretty simple.

I just put all our pictures together and wrote dates, time, who and place on the back of them.

Other then that all we had was paperwork so the paperwork just went in.

Make sure your cover letter is descriptive. They know what to look for but any guidance and clues help them.

They do like non staged pictures with the staged as well.

Whatever you do, please do not send anything on any memory card or CD's etc. Those are not accepted.

But as others stated, you should send in the copies and keep the original for the interview (at the US Embassy).  Take a pencil and simply write a brief detail about hte pic.

I used a free program that I installed on my computer called CollageIT ... I used this to make collages of photos from each trip, our wedding, etc. Each page I gave a title and date of the trip, and when I submitted it I did so with the itinerary, hotel bookings, and photos for trip 1, the same for trip 2 and so on.
I also listed them in my table of contents. I tried to keep it to 1-2 pages of photos per trip (6-10 photos per page) except for our honeymoon which was a month so I gave them more.

Got married: 26th Sep 2013

What Thesmiths2016 stated is very good advice.

Keep in mind you dont want to send in too many pics. I sent 6 pics.  I sent some from my wedding, a couple of us at a relatives house and a couple of pics with us at a restaurant. While pics from the wedding carry the MOST importance, providing additional pics showing the 2 of you together will help quite a bit as well.

if you send USCIS OR THE EMBASSY memory card or CD or TAPE THEY WILL not accept it they will not open it at all.

its very simple this is what I did, my wife printed out picture and send along with the documents and on my part here my interview day I went with our wedding picture album and also picture of my mother inlaw just as much as I can.

can you believe that the guy did not even ask for the wedding picture he asked for my mother inlaw pictures so I started pulling it out different date , days , with different family members I gave him about 20pics , where she was carrying my kids on her laps a lot , I did not spend 5min in front of him he approved me.

We printed actual photos and then wrote on the back of each one who/what/when/where. Each photo was numbered. The photos were not attached to anything, they were left loose and in a photo slip. There were about 40, and they were in order.

We also provided a cover letter that described all of our relationship evidence and it would refer to photos by number when it was applicable to other pieces of evidence (e.g. Flight reservation to a location - See photo at said location)

Put 2 photos on 8x11 paper in word. Wrote date, location,  and names of people underneath each photo.  Printed in b&w. Total of 6 photos.

We simply embedded jpeg images in Word, organized the photos in a meaningful manner with date, reference number and description on each page with additional captioning to name individuals as needed which can be done with a text box. Since we frontloaded, we had quite a thick stack so also included a section page with an indexed list of all the references.

My wife and I got married in 2010. We have been together since 2008.

I printed out 1 sheet of paper with 4 pictures for each year we were together. Then I wrote on the back of the paper who, what, when, where. So for 2008 I had 1 sheet with 4 picture. 2009 had 1 sheet with 4 pictures, etc.

I was worried they wouldn't take the pictures. I used a real old crappy home printer that only printed black and white and every picture was very dark. But they took them. Took 6 months from the time the I-130 was received until it was approved. But they took them.

All of our photos are digital so I printed a series of A4 pages, on each page I had a photo with a caption explaining the date taken, where it was taken and who was in the photo. We have been married for 7 years so I made sure to include a photo from each year plus some wedding photos. About 12 photos total.

We only submitted our I-130 in feb so hoping that this meets the needs.
