Hello everyone,

Please need your help with this, I recently got my interviewed at the immigration (ucis) and the question brought up to me was my martial statues. I was divorce and they needed the divorce documents. So i went to the family court to get my divorce paper and the clerk said that my divorce never went through, the judge never sign it somewhere in the line something got mess up. I was separated in 2007 and i filed my divorce in 2012. Apparently I'm still married all this time, I have a time line to get this done but I know filing divorce now will takes me more then 2 or 3 months. So what can I do, do I talk to the immigration (ucis) to change my statues to married since I was never divorce? Will this effect my statues of getting citizenship approve? Anybody have similar situations, please give me advise on what to do, thanks a million.

Talk to your county court of clerks for further information. Get an attorney to push the divorce into a quick settlement(if its a no contest divorce). Are you filing for Naturalization?
