Hello everyone,

We checked our case on ceac and it says " In transit". We filed from Turkey.Should we wait until the embassy contact us or we can schedule an interview appointment?

What forms should we fill out? We are kinda of confused, we want to speed up the process because we have heard that it takes a long time to schedule an interview here in turkey. so is there any advice about that from the people who had their interview here before?

should we have the original signed Affidavit of support forms or is it okay to have a copy?

Thank you.

The embassy will contact you when they receive your package and in the email you will find the instructions. And yes appointment time might be later than you think we personally got an expedition depending on military status but other than that you have to wait until there is an opening. Just make sure to check it everytime. Yes have an original Affidavit of Support.

Yep, it's ok. Have them snail mail the I-134 Affidavit of Support to you with a wet signature. They also need to send tax returns for the past three years (tax transcripts are best and easy to obtain from IRS website), employment letter, recent pay stubs, bank statements if showing assets etc. These documents can be copies.

Also I think you need to pick one of the parents, and the other parent will count in the household number. And your fiance also needs to fill out I-134 and provide the supporting documents mentioned above even if she does not have a USD salary.

You do not have to wait until the embassy contacts you. In fact, when they contacted me, none of the links for information they included worked, and they only sent the email for the necessary documents one week before the appointment. It was very frustrating.

You can find the necessary information here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Turkey&cty=Ankara

If you have your NVC case number, you can fill out a DS-160. Then you can schedule your visa appointment (you can use Check4Change firefox plugin to refresh the page to catch an open date, appointments are not easy to shcedule). Only after you schedule your visa appointment you can schedule the medical.

In the meantime, get police record (it has to be arsivli adli sicil kaydi, from adliye) and birth certificate (vukuatli nufus kayit ornegi). I don't think translations are required but I got them anyway because you do need the birth certificate translation for AOS later. In fact get a couple of copies of each document to have spares. They don't cost anything. I also got them apostilled (you just ask for it where you get them and they will direct you) but that is not required either.

Does my fiance also need to fill out the  I-134 form  ?  she is not the sponsor her father is my sponsor . I am kinda of confused because it will be the same form for two people but only one of them is my sponsor .

Yes I have my NVC number.

where can I use the NVC number ? it is in the DS-160 under "Application Receipt/Petition Number" or they mean the USCIS receipt number ?

Is this the right way in my case to get an appointment since my case still in transit and I didn't receive a message from the consular?

to reserve an appointment I looked up this page

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-tr/iv

then register and it shows those options

-I have received a Consular interview appointment date from the National Visa Center (NVC), Kentucky Consular Center (KCC), or the Consular Section and I have been instructed to register my appointment on this site.

-I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment.

-I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to schedule an immigrant visa appointment.

-I have received a letter to register or schedule a Diversity Lottery visa appointment.

-I am a returning U.S. Legal Permanent Resident (LPR) and require re-entry authorization to the United States.

-None of the above

I choose the "None of the above" option and it then it shows this

To use these Immigrant Visa services the following two conditions must be true:

  1. You must have an active Immigrant Visa application with a case number.
  2. You must have an Immigrant Visa appointment notice from the National Visa Center (NVC), KCC, or Consular Section

If you meet the above conditions, then you need to create an account and follow the appointment registration process on this site.

Then should I sing up in this page to get an appointment " https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-tr/iv/signup/iv " ?

So sorry for asking so many questions but we are trying not to make any mistakes that could delay the whole process.

Thank you guys so much :) .

Yes, in any case your fiancee is your primary sponsor. She has to fill out the form and supply supporting documents as well. Her father will be your joint sponsor.

The Application receipt/Petition number is the USCIS receipt number, yes.

I think there is a chance you might have to wait until it says Ready on CEAC to be able to get an appointment, but it shouldn't take long.

You have the correct website. I don't understand why you said 'none of the above', you should have picked 'I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment.' They do not ask you about a letter, which just provides info and instructions anyway and one you may never receive. I already gave you the instructions link.

Sure you can just wait for your status to turn Ready and then for a letter (an email really) from the consulate to get things going. In my opinion it will just waste your time, and you already have at least a 2-3 month wait for an appointment date.

Good luck!
