I filled out my forms (I-129F and G-325A) using adobe pdf reader, by adding text boxes to fill out my form. Is this acceptable? Or, no? Do I need to actually click on the lines on the form and type that way? Some of my text boxes have bigger font than others so that I can fill out the appropriate question with a longer or short answer - is this still okay?

Evidenciary documents are the same...

So, do we need to send G-325a or no?

You don't need g325a if you are using the new i129f Form. (Idk when the cut-off date is but you can use both old and new for a while).

Since the i129f is not 2D barcoded what you are doing would be equivalent to hand printing and should be fine. I know others who have done the same. For future reference, don't ever do that with a 2D barcoded form. :)

Where does it say that I don't need the G-325A form? Is the G-325A form a 2D barcodes form?

G-325A is not currently a 2D barcoded form.

As for if it's required, all wording about it being required has been removed from the I-129F instructions and I-129F page on USCIS website. However, it's still on the checklist. I just posted yesterday trying to get a more definitive answer...

Edit: Based on what I see, there's nothing official that says it IS required (a checklist is a convenience only). But there's also no news update saying it is no longer required (like USCIS did for the G-325A with the I-130 form).

It won't hurt to include the 2 x G-325As until the whole issue is sorted out. :)

For these form and at the moment yes.

As for the rest: For all forms you should follow the instructions. If supplemental documents for the i-129f don't require g325a then it's not needed.

It also makes no sense to enter the same info twice. They did this to speed up processing, so why get in the way of that and send extra forms anyways??!

But I am scared not sending the G-325A forms will actually somehow end up backfiring on me. I wish I knew for sure if I had to send them or not.

Why?

You have a form i-129f... you have its official instructions - sending the g325a is actually not following the instructions and more "wrong" in my opinion. Now, do I think it matters if you do send it as well?? No, I don't -but I would not send the g325a. As far as it still being on the "checklist".. those are not the instructions and USCIS are very well known for sucking at updating their website lol

No one can tell you what to do - I'm a person who thinks very factual and logical, by the book if you will, as such I would never consider sending the g325a, when the whole point of the info being included in the i-129f is so that it won't be needed. To each their own.

It would stir my mind nuts to send stuff not required! hahahahaha I'm not one of those "send everything but the kitchen sink" tye of persons. I guess that is the academic in me hahahahah. I would go nuts when students would turn in assignments with a bunch of extra #######!!
