Thank you for sharing all the details.

Can you please share some questions that were asked that were past 5 years.

Also, congrats on finally getting Oath. Good luck.

Just a few, he asked which other states I lived other than VA since I first arrived in US.

How long i worked for my first employer (that was in 2007) and why did i leave my sponsored employer.

HTH.

My husband’s naturalization interview was yesterday at the Washington Field office. I went along with him for moral support, The appointment time was at 8:20am but my husband got called in a bit earlier, He passed his civics, reading and writting tests. The IO was very polite and friendly and went through the application. My husband had to correct a few things and the IO happily made the changes. At the end, the officer stated she was a new employee and was unable to make a decision, she had to submit it to

her supervisor for final review. All they requested was our bank statements, we took a few other documents to show we are in a bonafide relationship but they did not need it.

At the end she handed a paper checking off the box for passed civics test and also the decision cannot be made box.

Over all it was a positive yet nerve wrecking experience. When we came home, I checked the status and it had said “you attended your interview. Please wait while we continue to review your application”. We applied based on the 3 year rule. No long trips outside the US , no issues with the the law. Should there be a concern at this time? All the IO states was that she was new and she had to get final review from her supervisor.

Any comments? Thoughts?

My husband got approved today!!! Thank God this process is over with. Waiting for oath date now.

Had N-400 bio metrics on December 23, 2019.   It seems like interviews are about 4 months after bio metrics date.  Am I off?

We should have a similar timeline. Did you fill out the google sheet? That would help everyone. My biometrics was done Dec 21 and my page has been saying for a while that they are currently reviewing the application.

My guess was that we would need more than 4 months between biometrics and interview but I would love to know more as we have to fly in from overseas and it would help to plan.

InsanelyOne Not sure if you have had any updates as you where before my Father In Law by about 10 days?

Yesterday his status changed to inline for Oath Ceremony but no date.

Mother in law has her oath ceremony scheduled for February but would really like to do it together?

My husband's I-751 was approved (no interview required) on Jan 23rd.  Now waiting to hear about oath ceremony date.

Hi @Dreamer. Hope your interview went well. Can you please share your experience with all of us. Thanks.

My interview outcome was kind of mixed. My wife & I had interview last week. My wife is already in line for the Oath. Unfortunately, my case was handled by the junior office, so it is waiting for her Supervisor's review. She said it will take up to 4 months to get the approval ( Even though i passed all the tests). Now, i just need to wait and watch. So near and yet so far.

Sorry to hear that. That’s not fair honestly. People already wait for a longtime to get the interview and then they say to wait for another 4 months?smh. I saw that happening a lot lately. They should find a way how to approve cases reviewed by junior staff faster cause it ain’t our fault. Hope you hear something good soon.

Thank you, yes i agree, they need to find a way to approve cases reviewed by the Jr officers.  One thing slightly bothers me is, not everyone is going through this stress, it is matter of your luck ( it is not fair if you ask me), Irrespective of your case is being handled by Jr or not, timeline for the approval should be same across the board.  Apparently i didn't choose that particular officer, it is matter of 1 minute, had i waited bit longer to check in, my application would have picked by someone else. And things would have been different right now. Anyway, it is what it is 🙂

It's crappy that this junior officer seems to be affecting so many of us.  From the time of my husbands N-400 interview to the approval of his I-751 was 10 weeks.  Hopefully yours isn't as long.

Hello! I have interview (Fairfax) on 2/7/20 @2.30 pm

lots of ppl in this group have completed the interviews and shared experience. Thank you for sharing.
If anyone has any tips please suggest. I will really appreciate.

i am a little nervous. My interview is on Friday, followed by my wife on Monday.

thank you

Don't be nervous, you will be alright. I used US Citizenship APP (free) for my interview preparation. In the Settings,  select Flash Card order "Random" and "Play Sound Effects" yes.  In the Flash card  switch on the speaker to hear the questions and start answering to them.  It is very good option to simulate the real interview scenario for civil test. Good luck!!
