NOA2 a year ago was received in 2-3months !!!

Nope, a year ago it was just a month or less. I got my NOA2 last year just 23 days after my NOA1. We filed September last year.

But because there was a huge influx of applicants come December who are trying to avoid the filing fee hike in December 23, that resulted to the backlog which you are now experiencing.

Did you find out what it is?

Yes it was related to previous marriage. Apparently it was a answer to a inquiry i made by email year and half ago. Wow these guys are slow, answer to a inquiry for a case that has been closed for a year.

I'm here on my last night in the Philippines after spending some time with my fiancee. I receieved notice yesterday of informed delivery a letter from CSC. Our NOA 1 is May 1st received date and May 3rd notice date. No RFE per the app but i think this letter might have to do with a withdraw request on a prior case. Guess ill find out when home.  Great to spend time with my fiancee and even met 2 VJ members here in person.

Quoting my own post here LOL. Well I'm laughing now but the reality of the situation is I'm not laughing.

Got home from the Airport this morning. Headed straight to the mail box and tore open the the letter from USCIS

Back story is that for months now I have been trying to withdraw an approved K-1 prior petition that I filed last year.

Earlier in August I finally got hold of a tier 2 human and told them once again I wanted a withdraw letter and I had already sent in a zillion letters requesting so.

He said they will get something out to me by end of month (Aug.)

Well he was right and I got the letter.

It said "your petition has been approved and forwarded to NVC if you need another copy of the NOA 2 you can fill out this form and pay the fee"

Oh good grief Charlie Brown, can't they even do one thing correctly and timely...apparently NO.

I asked for withdraw of old petition and somehow they took that to mean. I can't find my copy of the NOA 2.

Looks like a long holiday until I can hammer their phones on Tuesday.

Doing anything and everything to keep up levels of optimism, this wait is brutal.

However, September the 4th is here!!! May filers, I am super hopeful for some news for one of us in the next coming days - or even more of us! I don't think it's too much to ask :)))

Hopeful that the USCIS will be very well rested after the long weekend, returning back to work tomorrow cooking on gas and getting through some paperwork!

Yes it was so very nice to see each other plus we met a few members from the board here.

I imagine the USCIS hotline will be swamped with calls due to the 3 day weekend but I plan to call early.

Enjoy your Labor Day there.

U May filers are waiting just like us April filers are. Most of us are 140 days+ at the moment and haven't herd a thing yet. Good luck to u all and get ready for a long wait because the government is moving slow for some reason.
