Oh 😦

Do you think there is still little to no chance to get it even if my kids stay home and I have a guarantee letter from the company I am a subcontractor to?

i traveled this summerΒ after we filed and mentioned the K1 process to the passport control officer and he let me in with no evident hesitation.

Β

your case could be different since you previously had visa to US and you have a company support. We didn't have any of that. If I were you I would give it a try, just be ready for a disappointment...Β  Good luck to you!!!!

Hi, May filers!!! Let Monday bring good news to all of us striving for survival, NOA2 and NVC case number. ✌️✌️✌️

Β

I wanted to ask if any of you applied for a B1-B2 (tourist/business) visa after you'dΒ filed for the K1.

Β

My tourist visa expired this October and now I do want to have a new one to spend NY holidays with my fiancΓ© cause I have 12 days,Β and it feels like there will be no chance for us to be together tillΒ March.

Β

please share your experience if you managed to get a tourist visa or not. Thank you 😘😘😘

Β

and mayΒ the Universe and all saints have mercy and send us the NOA2 online notification and hard copy same day! πŸ™ TODAY πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Hi, I obtained a B2 before filing for K1.

But even if B2 has a 10 years validity, last time I tried to enter the US (still before filing for k1) they almost didn't let me in just because they thought I used it too often!

So it's really up to the POE if you'll make it in, even with a totally regular visa.

They finally let me in (after checking into my phone for about 2 hours, trying to find signs that would prove I was trying to immigrate illegally), but I told myself I'll never put myself in a situation like that ever again.

Β

After starting the K1 process and after realizing how long it takes I tried to find every possible information about how to go visit my fiancΓ© again, but we finally decided to just patiently wait because it's very possible that, even if you have a job at home or other proves that you are just going on vacation and your intention is to go back to your home country, you still have a pending procedure that will eventually (kind of soon) lead to make you become an immigrant, so it gives you a very high possibility of being rejected at the POE because you are saying you are asking to enter the country not for immigration purpose when in reality you are already asking the US government to be an immigrant.

That wouldn't just be disappointing and sad because you'd loose money, your vacation and you won't get to see your fiancè, but also would give you more problems during the interview and the procedure to get K1.

Β

To summarize it, even if I still have a valid B2, I decided not to use it to don't have additional problems later (even if we had anniversary, kids birthdays, our birthdays, now Christmas coming and plenty of other events we didn't want to spend apart). So I wouldn't suggest to go through an application for B2, in my opinion would be a waste of money/time/energy, because even if you make it to get it, they may still deny your entry.

Hope this helps and hope I didn't scare you too much ;) Good luck!

day 199. it's also my 33rd bday.

Β

I am happy for those who are getting approved. but overall, I'm also mad. I'm mad that cases after mine are approved. I'm mad that cases after ours, even with RFEs, have gotten responses/approvals.Β I'm mad that they've moved on to June cases while there are still May ones that haven't been touched. And I'm especially mad that there's no recourse for it, no one to keep the government in check about this.

Β

Our case isn't complicated. He has been to the US 4 times. I have been to Australia once. It isn't a high-fraud country. We have been dating since April 2014 when we first met in person. I've been in the same job almost that long.Β We have everything going for us, and still NOTHING.Β

Β

I AM truly happy for every other couple who is moving forward in this process, but when is it my f%#?!Β turn :(

Β

Sorry...Β just venting. I'm having a terrible birthday, all the grandparents who were going to be at our wedding are ill or dying, and nothing is as it should be.

@Alik @Fiammetta thank you, guys!!!

i am trying to figure out pros and cons and risks of applying and having a trip.

Β

I was shaking all the three times I travelled starting October last year but each time it all went smoothly 😊 And I never lied about the purpose of visit and had a heap of docs to prove I have to come back. So I thought I might give it a try - and the reward - the NY night and my birthday and 12 days together are worth every penny and every nerve killed 😊😊😊

@mrssurman

happy birthday!!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜

Oh, I wish I were 33 😁

I had the same moment of despair a couple of days ago πŸ˜‘ Please keep your head up. πŸ€—You will have your approval the nearest time - I am sure!Β and as we see earlier approvals do not guarantee earlier visas - those who received their NOA2 in October and November are stuck either at uscis or NVC or between those two. And there are some who received their approvals later are approaching the finish lines πŸ˜‰

Good luck ✌️✌️✌️

I'm really sorry to hear this and I completely feel you when I see cases with RFE responses received long after ours get approved within days... It's very frustrating that they're leaving some cases behind. I know you guys constantly say it isn't like that but it really feels like they do leave us behind. Oh well...

There just really isn't a way to know anymore, but I do hope you get approved soon.Β
