Not sure if anyone else has this or not, but does anyone have a different approval date online vs. on the NOA2 hard copy? I realized I've been flipping between saying Nov 2 and 3 when I'm talking to NVC, and I realized it's because my hard copy says the notice date is Nov 2, but online it says Nov 3... hoping this isn't an issue since either way it's approved.

Yeah I've been calling them and they keep telling me to wait two more weeks.  Wait til the processing date catches up with my submittal date, etc.  Should I be worried????? What is an Ombudsmen?

how many of us May filers received NOA2 and still waiting for NVC to get our case and assign us a number?

We have been approved on oct 30th....my fiance called the USCIS earlier today to know if they sent our case to nvc...after checking and gathering our informations they said yes it has been sent. Was really nice said they gonna make an officer call us back in few days just in case... Now we're going to call nvc to see If they have received it. Seems like it takes up to 5days to receive...

Wow i'm so glad you were luckier than I was... the tier 2 officer I got today was horrible and wouldn't tell me whether or not mine had been sent :( I hope we both get our case numbers from NVC next week.

Hey Fellow May Filers,

I have a question:  I received NOA2 2 weeks ago and have been calling NVC twice per week since then.  All other times when I called them, as expected, they said that my case wasn't in the system and it could take up to 6 weeks for it to arrive.  But this evening, the nice woman on the phone (the people at NVC are very nice :) ) asked me to read the first paragraph of my notice to her.  The first paragraph reads: "  The above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate.  Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance, or if you would now like them to forward the petition to a different consulate…this form is not a visa and may not be used in place of a visa".  Based on my reading this, the woman at NVC said in that case they wouldn't get my case, but I should contact the consulate directly.

My questions are:

1.  Has anyone else's NOA2 said this?

2.  Has anyone ever heard of information being forwarded straight to the consulate and not the NVC?

BTW, I did notice the language of the first paragraph right away, but assumed that this was standard language and the everything must go through the NVC, but now I am wondering if I happened to get an operator this evening who told me wrong information.  Just curious to know if anyone has experienced this?  Either way, there's nothing I can do about it until Monday.

Yeah, pathetic.  We're all going on 200 days!  That's ridiculous!  Too many people allowed vacation or not enough workers.  Should break them back to the other states again, moved much better.
