I think it's 90 days so that they have exactly 30 days to get the petition to NVC before it expires... but I haven't seen anyone so far that's waited for 90 days so hopefully no more than 5-6 weeks :/

Actually I've seen two people here who had approval dates of 10/22 and 10/24 get their case numbers. Hopefully we are soon!
