For this to be the first full work week after a US holiday, this was one slow week with an overload of RFE's. Most I've seen sent out in a week since they started working May filers.

It means USCIS sent the petitioner a letter in the mail, however it was returned by post office as un-deliverable. Possibly wrong address or petitioner moved and didn't update address.

I feel you on this one. My fiance was supposed to have a call with Tier 2 TWICE and both times they never even called him back!

Finally received a call back from a tier 2.. this one was pretty rude though and was clearly trying to hang up quickly. She just said "USCIS has up to 90 days to send your petition to NVC. We are under no obligation to give you further information" and also said "You just need to be patient for 90 days. We handle thousands of petitions every day. Do you think you're the only one?" At least the NVC people are nicer when I call them. But 90 days?? That's absurd.

You know, jerk USCIS person, if you hate your job as much as you seem to, maybe you should quit and create a spot for someone who actually grasps the concept of customer service.

Unless you were very obnoxious on the phone, there's no need to take that kind of tone with you or with anyone.  SMH.

This actually really makes me think that it's USCIS that's slow with sending cases to NVC, not NVC.

Yeah exactly. I was very nice even though she was being so rude, and she kept interrupting me but I kept my cool on the phone. She's the 3rd tier 2 officer I've talked to during this whole process, but was by far the worst.

Yeah I think that part is pretty clear, because for the most part NVC seems to assign case numbers quickly and send the cases to the embassy quickly afterwards. A NVC rep also told me "We don't like to hang on to cases after we receive them. We like to send them as quickly as possible so don't worry about that part". I would think USCIS would think the same way?? It really confuses me about why they would hang onto approved petitions without mailing them. It also doesn't seem like they're mailing them in bulk since we're not seeing a great number of people with different NOA2 dates getting case numbers on the same day.

Haha, I think if USCIS minded hanging on to cases we would have been approved a while ago :D Joke aside, there's really no way to know what they actually do. I would feel better about the wait if they were simply more transparent with the process.

But I'm sure there's a certain reason we're in the dark about this proces...

it looks like most of the NOA2 approved after 10/20 has not reached NVC yet. bummer. how hard it is to mail it to NVC? are they having issues in the mail room or are they just partying in the mail room instead of working?

How is that even possible? NOA2 expires after 4 months...
