@Shoegum @Naes

I wanted to ask for a small favor (or at least I hope it's small). Is it possible to scan a only certain day for RFE response received (November 15th)? I just want to see how many RFE responses received there are for November 15th because they seem to approve by dates for the most part when approving RFEs.

Here's a spreadsheet of people who have received RFEs so it gives a general idea of the time it takes.

If you don't know where to check the status of your case you can do it here - https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

And additionally you can use USCIS case trackes apps for Android or iOS.

My RFE took quite a while to be updated to "response received" and I've heard some get updated straight to "approved" without "response received". If anything if you're the petitioner you could call USCIS and ask about your RFE just to be sure.

RFEs are different so they take different times but generally you can expect approval from 2 to 4 weeks. Keep in mind those are just estimates and not everyone is going to be within that timeline.

Hello again everyone!

First of all, congrats and all of you getting NOA2s! And case numbers!!

I filled out the DS160 but still haven't received the case number from NVC. Should I submit it or wait until we get the case number? Or do I need to wait until I get packet 3?

They didn't seem to ask for the case number anywhere, only WAC number?? Or was I supposed to give them the case number and not the WAC? 😕😕

Thank you everyone!

Hi everybody...trying to get back to life after the NOA2 shock in the most unexpected moment!

now my question is...who has the time/patience to tell me what should I do now?

I know every person has been asking for this, but the feeling I got so far is that I’ll have to wait about one month just for the NVC to get my case in hands, is that correct?

and all I can do is keeping calling them? 🤔

@Shoegum @Naes @Meech @K+D I know I can count on you guys...at least I know you probably already have a link ready to explain everything! 🤩

Looks like @Naes have you great information! Congratulations on NOA2!!!

Wait to submit as your DS-160 should not be far in date from your interview (typically no greater than 30 days). If you have finished filling it out just say it and remember to go back in it a few days to say it as it will time out (in 30 days) and then you will have to do it all over again.

Since you've completed it, once you received your case# from NVC, all you have to do is submit and print your confirmation page that day!

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

@Meech @plyn1209 @Swissmiss82 @AJ001 My noa2 was 10-24. Nvc just received my case on Monday at 12:00pm and they happened to give me a case number that same day. I was one day short of 5 weeks. Just to give you all a better estimate of when it should be there. I also called uscis the day before thanksgiving (you need to speak to a tier 2 as a tier 1 didn’t even know my case was approved) to see if they even sent it out. They checked a separate tracking system and advised me it was sent out on 11-20. Took a full week to be received. Mine still shows at nvc on the ceac website but my ds-160 and fees will be paid today so I can look at the available interview dates. Even though I’m going to wait until it’s “ready” at the embassy before officially scheduling our interview. Hope this gives some clarity, as I too was getting anxious.

Hey.. How are you able to look at interview dates without it being ready? :) Do you need like the DS confirmation # to look up dates..? or how does it work for you?

Morning Everyone,

Day 191 - I'm getting over the fact that I will not be receiving my NOA2 this week. No, I'm not thinking negative, just thinking logical and realistically. According to Monday's and Tuesday's scan - May 23rd is not getting touched/reviewed like the other received dates. I'm starting to believe that I will be over 200 days before I get my NOA2 (which next Friday will be 200 days for my fiancé and I). Which then looking at how NVC is dragging their....feet (not really the word I wanted to use, but trying to be a lady right now), my fiancé will probably not get an interview scheduled until mid-late January, but for every week we lose with no NOA2 is a week taken away, which then means I'm thinking more on the lines of a February arrival...SMH!!!

I don't know...maybe God and USCIS will talk to each other and make a liar out of me (although I doubt that it will happen).

Good luck everyone!!!

I know it doesn't help much right now, but you're definitely not alone in this one. I just hope that somehow USCIS and NVC will start to get quicker and we won't need to wait too long, but I can only hope...Hopefully NOA2 comes soon and I'm sure that once you're together it'll all feel like it was worth it!
